Not current, not knowledgeable with everything, always takes points off on assignments even if you follow exactly what she said -- always something to pick on. NIce person for an introductory class, but not recommended. Avoid if possible if you really want to learn.

Most people write reviews out of anger but this is not one. Sarah just flat out can't give directions and her grading is so inconsistent, taking points off at random. She fumbles when teaching code, forgetting what she's doing but then expects you to go home and do 4 more examples of what she had done in class. Nice lady. Unfair and Bad teacher.

Funny, friendly, quirky. I really have enjoyed this class. Not just because the material is relevant and worth learning, but because she makes it fun and interesting. It's easy to pass as long as you keep up with the pace. She moves along pretty quick, but the workload is not too heavy and she is open to meeting after class to help. *****

Sarah is nice, funny, and the class environment is always enjoyable. She tends to go a little fast so there's a big expectation on your part to do a lot of the learning independently. She encourages students to meet her during office hours for help. She gives partial credit so you will never completely bomb anything unless you've learned nothing.

If you do the work as assigned, the class is not hard. She is very helpful, and is there for her office hours. (She even came in specially for me when I had a major problem.) If you try to cram all of the work in at once, before the end of the semester, the class will be hard!

I hoped that I would learn something from this class but I didn't and I am not the only one who complain about her class. Everybody in this class got bad grades with lots of work and no big achievement at all. Avoid if you can

Not a fan. I repeatedly tried to get her help during a programming class (i had her for both java and perl in the same semester) and found that when I asked for clarification.. she listened to my question and then walked away to discuss something with another student.

Awful, Horrible, Terrible. Has single-handed made me contemplate changing my major. Incomprehensible lectures with unclear explanations, assigns homework and quizzes with material not covered in class, useless online lecture notes, uses PERL when other languages are more suited. Avoid this professor, you will learn more from forums.
