By far one of the hardest class I've ever taken. I had to read the textbook to teach myself 411, because Dutta doesn't teach! He spent 30 mins at the beginning of each class talking about getting partial credits on exams by showing your work... How about you use that time to teach us how to do problems instead? Honestly the worst ACC prof

So these past students lied or maybe Dutta was like that in the PAST. I got an A- in 311/ A in 312 and this has been the worst class by far. You learn a lot because you have to teach yourself! BUT even then his exams are super confusing & what you learn is hard to apply to it. I WILL NEVER TAKE HIM AGAIN. I love Accounting, but he made me hate it !

He is actually not that bad. I thought he sped through the material at first. Then I learned one of the chapters on my own before the lecture for once and realized just how slowly and thoroughly he goes through the material. This is easier than intermediate despite what he tells you in class. Teaches just as well as Chandra but lacks personality.

He's a really good teacher if you actually want to learn accounting. He's not that hard to understand if you pay attention, and going to class helps so mandatory attendence shouldn't be a problem. He doesn't have time for class time wasters.
