Comment:

Dr. Schraufnagel is an outstanding professor! He loves what he is teaching and he definitely knows how to teach. I recomend to take his class only for students who wants to learn and who is ready to dedicate a plenty of time to study the subject.

Comment:

Professor Schraufnagel is an awesome professor! He is passionate about what he is teaching, and he really wants his students to learn. Yes, the "mandatory" extra credit is time consuming, but it is so worth it when it adds points to your exam scores! I leanred more than I ever expected, and I loved this class! Too bad he's leaving UCF!

I think hes an awesome professor. So far have gotten high A's on both exams and he seems like he is helpful in office hours. Exams are based on 1/2 lecture material and half book. With few hours of studying on each exam you should get an A pretty easily. Funny guy.

iHAVE HEARD that most of his classes are hard, but this 1 wasn't at all. Scope and methods. He took it really easy on us. 8 quizzes which were extremely str8 forward. Huge part of grade based on research project, but he graded very lenient on it. I HATE political science and still got a B

Excellent professor, and always willing to answer a question (even simplistic ones). His class is very structured and his lectures and very clear. EC opportunities with every exam, including the final. I liked him so much I'm taking another class with him next semester. Be prepared to study though.

Great teacher!!! Really good guy and is always willing to help in any situation. You will have a considerable amount of work but if you study you will be fine! Just remember all of the information on the test isn't just on the slides!!! Always listen to what he is say!!!

He really loves his subject. He listened to the Watergate recordings on tape on vacation for fun - that's how much he loves political science. He is incredibly helpful and down to earth, a good guy. You have to study if you want an A in his class- his tests aren't easy, but manageable. Take excellent notes - don't just copy what's on the screen.

Professor Schraufnagel is a fantastic teacher of Political Science! He is a great communicator and very easy to talk to. I am not a Political Science major and he was very understanding and helpful with any questions. If you show him that you care he will help you through to succeed. He is a fantastic professor.

Don't get on his bad side. Other wise easy class as long as you memorize 3 pages of notes. Not as bad as it sounds. Tests are practically every other week. He can be a ****!!!

I loved this teacher. He was my US Gov Teacher at Valencia for the Summer. I hate political science but his enthusiasm and thorough knowledge made me want to learn more. He was quite the character, and didn't need to try very hard to make the class interesting. I highly recommend taking one of his classes!!

Very detail oriented prof. Anything said in lecture can become a test question. Lectures are interesting but he can go off on tangents, which will end up on the exams. Very fair and considerate professor. This is my second time with him.

I took him once and only once, his demands were not overwhelming but with four or five solid classes he will stress you. very detailed, don't miss class alot comes out of lecture notes not very much flexibility in grading

As it has been previously said test are very detail orientated. You have to know EVERYTHING from lecture and the books. The purple books is difficult to sort through at time. He does offer extra credit at a whopping 4 points for 9 hours of work, but it's better than nothing right! Class is not that bad, it could be worse!

Scot is extremely nice. that being said, his exams are very detail oriented. Attendance is mandatory, anyone who misses 5 or more days will have to turn in a paper just to pass the class. 5 exams, final is cumulative. Abouut 50 percent of the information on tests comes from lecture, not the book. He does, however, give alot of extra credit.

Great Prof. So nice and so willing to help you with any question you have. Very fair with tests. Missed first two classes due to a cold and Dr. S sent me the syllabus and everything. Willing to listen to everyone's opinion! Highly recommend!

He is a really good teacher. Just make sure you don't miss class b'cos most of the stuff on tests are from the lectures and not the text. His tests are tricky at times but there's extra credit to make up for it.
