Mr. Foos' lecture can be, dare I say, odd at times. Many times throughout the course it just felt awkward. Your grade consist of your math quizzes and tests, so skipping over homework will NOT help you; you have to work for it. I highly recommend not taking his class if it only meets once a week. He himself said those are like accelerated courses.

If you put forth the effort to do well in his class: you will. Pay attention, read the chapters ahead, and do your homework. Overall a nice guy and reasonable class for serious students.

Probably one of the best math teachers I've had at GRCC. He's good at getting all tests and quizzes back to you. I felt very open to asking questions and ask him to go over anything! At times he also gives more homework problems but also goes over some in class.

Great professor! He is fast-paced, but is always willing to stop and explain until it makes sense to you. Quiz or test once a week, but they are short and cover exactly what was in the homework assigned. If you have a question on a quiz or test he has no problem helping. He wants to see everyone succeed. Would take any class of his.

I found that he is a pretty easy grader and he is super nice and helpful. He wants to make sure you understand before moving on. There are quizzes or tests every week but they are short and easy. Overall its a pretty enjoyable class.

Excellent math professor! A little fast-paced but he gets right down to what's important, does not waste time in class, and writes his own handouts to explain the material in the textbook. He lets you know exactly what concepts are tested on and if you do the homework and understand the quizzes, you'll do fine on the tests. Answers all questions.

Great teacher. His teaching style is fast and efficient, he explains things clearly and straight to the point. Homework is not mandatory or turned in and your grade is based purely on quizzes and tests, so it's up to you to make sure you pass the class. Homework is gone over in class if you have any questions. I picked him again, he's that good!

Terrible Terrible Terrible, if you did not understand something he made you feel stupid for asking, he was not willing to work with you and hardly ever showed work on the board. I am not very good at math and this class was awful the only reasoned I passed was because of my tutor. Unless you are really good at math don't take him.

Excellent teacher! He explained everything very well, and is always ready to answer your questions. He always starts with the basics to make sure no one is left behind or confused. I didn't like math before his class, but now I want to be a math teacher because of his teaching skills. I hope to have him for future math classes! Highly recommend!!

Foos is an excellent teacher. He is extremely organized. You always know what to expect. Tests aren't easy but he reviews the heck out of them. If you're looking to have fun with a laid back teacher who makes small talk this is not the class but if you truely want to understand the material and have a good chance at an A for hard work take Foos.
