You have to write a 15 pg paper if you want at least a B and present it for an A otherwise highest possible is a C. His expectations for papers is a little too high and his attitude is something I could do without. I did not find him approachable or understanding. Regret taking his class. Lectures sucked.

He outlines how his classes work on the very first day, so whatever grade you receive in the class is literally what you earned. My biggest tip is to get the quizzes out of the way because the semester will fly by and you will be overwhelmed. Plus, after you finish all seven quizzes, you only have to go to one class a week which is nice.

Paynton can be quite intimidating as a person, but his classes are easy, so long as you don't procrastinate. He gives you the entire semester's work on the first day, and how you manage your time is up to you, but it can add up if you put it off. Classes are only mandatory the first class of the week, not the second.

Scott is straight-forward in the way he grades. You do the work, you get the grade. His lectures are long, but he makes an effort to engage and include his students. He's great to talk to whether it's regarding the course or just in general. He is a well-dressed professor with the weirdest shoes. I highly recommend him.
