Sheridan's classes make you feel like Dorothy in Oz. They seem colorful and a bit wacky but they can blow your mind, because he allows students to be creative while using humor. At the time I didnt realize how much I learned and looked forward to class. Taking classes from other professors afterwards was like going back to Kansas: boring and gray.

I had him for Italian and international studies. He made both classes super fun and interesting, even if the content wasn't that gripping. His classes are discussion-based, but he makes it easy to participate. Great professor and great guy overall!

Professor Sheridan is pretty funny and his class is fun. You will definitely learn in his class AND you will find yourself participating, even if you don't want to. Great class, learned a lot of French. His classes are worth the taking.

Professor Sheridan was awesome. The class was entirely discussion-based, and he really wanted us to think for ourselves and give our own opinions. I didn't find all of the reading selections particularly interesting, but he made the class interesting through facilitating the discussions. He's very nice and has a great sense of humor.

Italian 101 is difficult simply because it is a new language and any new language is going to be difficult to learn. However he is an excellent professor who understands if we do not get it SO DO NOT be scared of this class. He makes it easy. The homework is somewhat difficult but if you really want to learn Italian, it is worth it! He's great!

One of the best professors I've had at IWU. You can tell he loves what he teaches and he cares about student learning. It was the class I looked forward to the most, and it was a gen ed!

Sheridan is my favorite teacher at IWU. In Italian he will have you learn a lot! Although you can't just do nothing, you probably won't mind it because you can tell he actually cares about your education. If you are deciding what language to take, take Italian just so you can have him as a teacher. Best one at IWU!!!

If you need an IT or G gen. ed., take this class! Sheridan is a super nice guy and he sets you up to get an A if you're just willing to put in the time. Papers are easy and you get the prompts on the first day so you know what to look for in the books, art history quizzes are fine if you just study the night before. Great teacher, great class.

Take Italian with him! He's the best professor, smart, funny, caring. I learned so much from him and I can actually speak Italian now! Class was fun and it was easy to learn. For a gen ed, his classes will be the ones I will miss after graduation and the ones I will remember the most. Italian ROCKS!

Sheridan is too easy. I don't like hard teachers, but he doesn't challenge us at all. I think he wants to be popular and so he is just really nice to students. I'm disappointed because everybody raves about him cause he's easy
