Comment:

Shumway is a good professor and he conveys his knowledge in a way that is easily understood. He encourages students to work hard and challenge themselves. Although sometimes it's difficult to work with him one-on-one, I truly believe he wants all of his students to succeed.

He is the most unapproachable professor I have ever had and I can't imagine having anyone less approachable than him. If you give a correct answer but not his exact definition, don't expect more than half credit on that answer. Overall, I despise this man.

Took this class thinking it would be a joke, but...always a but, you had to work for a good grade. He likes that you remember examples he uses in lecture to explain things. He loves what he teaches, so he does expect a lot from his students.

His is one of the worst professors I have had at Wheaton in the biology department. He is uncaring, satircal, standoffish and mostly a jerk as a person. He is completely unhelpful in and out of class and just assumes that everyone in class worships him. He verbally picks on people and top top it all off, he is not even well versed in the material.
