The material was boring sometimes, be he did a good job making it interesting and clarifying the difficult parts. Lots of reading, and make sure you do it, because he likes to do pop quizzes. The quizzes are really easy if you read, and so was the midterm. He's really helpful in giving pointers on papers, too.

Worst teacher I had at VT. Has no problem personally insulting students if you contact him outside of class. Refused to read my final paper, gave me a D with no comments. Told me he would record my grade as an I while I rewrote it, instead reported it as an F, which put me on academic suspension. Avoid at all costs. Don't believe the hype.
