She is really nice and entertaining. I knew nothing about poetry but left the class really understanding how to interpret it. If you are good at writing papers, that's all you do for grades. But you HAVE to go to class and do the daily journals which take like 10 mins. Overall great class, really wants you to succeed

Dr. Claggett is quite possibly the best English teacher that I've ever had. She's funny, intelligent, sarcastic, honest, helpful, not-easy, and quite demanding. She can turn the worst writer into a Whitman, and the best writers into Pulitzer winners. Vandy was stupid not to offer the world for her to stay.

Rocked my socks off! The class is easy if you go and do the work. The grades are fair and she is willing to help. You do actually learn but it is really quite painless, and if you have a good posse in there wit ya' the excitement is incredible.
