Comment:

Lectures were uninspiring and rather boring. She clearly cares about the content, however is not good at conveying it. Especially at the beginning her notes were very frustrating to try to follow. The written assignment expectations were unclear, and when I sent her an email asking for clarification, she was quite rude to meExtremely slow marker.

Comment:

This class was overall pretty good. Towards the beginning of the year she didn't post notes which was hard to keep track of, but she eventually started posting when things got complicated. Receptive if you go see her in office hours. Good at explaining concepts in depth. The one thing that wasn't great was a group essay assignment? Like what?

Drones on and on and on in lecture and there isnt sufficient time to write all that down. Disorganized notes on canvas and is unclear as to what you need to know or not from the tons of info provided during lecture. Midterm written marking was crap. avoid this prof if u can 10/10 do not recommend

Not effective teacher ... reads off the slides a lot, basically just repeats everything. When you ask her questions she may drag on and on even though a relatively simpler answer would be sufficient. Beginning of the year very rushed, end of the year felt like we had nothing to do. She uploads notes late, and you end up with a disorganized notes.

Super condescending and shrill. Treats her class less like Uni students and more like schoolchildren. Literally reads off of the slides and is extremely disorganized with her notes format (notes packet for students). Tests cover EVERYTHING, even the smallest little blurb from a random slide. Will consistently let the class go early.

She is a good teacher. The class was simple. She doesn't post notes online so you need to come to class and write everything she says - but they're simple ideas so its not as bad as you might think. No textbook. Only a final and 2 projects. Not amazing but would recommend.

Hands down the worst KIN prof I've had so far in that she seems to not enjoy teaching and does not offer much support for students. Final exam grading was incredibly sketchy - many of us dropped by a large margin even though the exam was relatively straightforward. Course material was interesting; the lectures were dull and uninspiring.

The course is pretty dry and she drags on the class sometimes. Tests are fair even though some questions are fairly tough unless you read every small detail. The TA's were tough markers on essays and long answer questions.

If you ask her questions after class she is very helpful. Key to ask good questions. Not an easy class, but she is very good at integrating complex material into what is meaningful for everyday life.

Clear and concise instructor. She cares about what you learn, and will revisit old topics/correct lecture slides if there remains confusion. Tries to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand notes. Fair exams.

Easy to understand but I agree quite boring. Not very helpful when I asked her questions - in fact I found her quote condescending. Her class also involves more work than any other class I've ever taken - don't take this if you have a full courseload!

Taught the class well and was helpful.. but boring! Asked stupid questions that the class nerds struggled to answer to gain her favor. I think we all hate that. Save yourself the boredom and read her helpful notes at home.
