She has to be the best math teacher at NIU. She is willing to answer questions and help you. She clarified everything and exams had problems from the homework. I passed her class with flyin colors. the only problem is there were quizzes like every week but she do drop the lowest 2, and she give alot of extra credit.

Very helpful, very nice. She does curve her classes, but nothing so crazy as giving a 72 a B! You have to work for your grade in her class. If you're looking for a laydown class without having to learn the material, dont take her.

I had Dolan as an instructor and I was not very fond of her. I felt that she looked down upon her students and was not very understanding at all. It seemed like she was out to get her students a lot of the time and expected us to know so much more. I would not recommend her.

Comment:

She is so cute! I love how she is so into math and tries to get you to "love the fractions" as much as she does.. She is an awesome teacher, yet at the same time makes you work for your grade. Attendance is important, and so is your attitude(so have a good one{especially in groups}). She is always there to help and is just a great person in general

I worked my butt off in this class. I had a 72% and she would not give me the B event hough I was EVERY class M-F 8AM & particip! Found out that Dr. Bichi or whatever his name is had a curve of like 65% for a B!!! that semester. TA's were helpful. We went over all the answers of the homework that was due that day.Did not like her teaching style

She makes it look easy in class. Knows her stuff, a little uptight, and yes, works with you if you go to her office. Showed up in recitation (Go, you get quiz points!)one day just to see if everyone was going, yikes! Between class, recitation, office hrs. and peer help, good chance of passing.

My class has 215 so theres no time for any questions. The recitation portion does no good. You only go over answer you previously have gotten wrong and theres no time for help on future problems. The class average on our first test was 52%. Only 60% of people pass the class that take it......
