Comment:
Dr. Prevost is one of the least compassionate professors at Clemson. She does not care if you succeed, but is most interested in making sure you know how much she knows. She certainly does know a lot, but rather than answer conceptual questions when the class got confused, she would go off on theoretical tangents. Very poor dynamics with her class.

I took 2060 & 2080 with Prevost and made B+ both times. She is a pretty tough professor when it comes to grading and exams, but nothing impossible as long as you put in the work. Her lectures are taught so well and clear, which makes it easy to actually learn the material for the future. She is a fantastic professor.

You will have to work for a decent grade in this class. However, it is possible! There will be MWF homework that takes up 2-3 hours. This class WILL be your PRIORITY. If it's not, you will suffer. You will learn more than friends in other classes. My friend's professor even said what we did in Dr. Prevost's class was "too hard to do by hand."

So much homework. Material isn't terribly difficult, the algebra is what gets hard. Expect homework every MWF plus extra assigned paper homework. Quiz every week. Take her if you want to be taught well and/or if you can spend all your time on this class. KEY: ULTRA TIME COMMITMENT. You can pass/get a good grade with LOTS OF TIME.

Dr. Prevost is a great teacher and truly cares about your understanding of the material. She is a tough grader but very accessible outside of class while providing numerous resources to reinforce her lectures.

This class was a little difficult to understand, just like every calculus class. The professor was a very tough grader and gave little to no partial credit. She teaches well in my opinion but you have to pay attention all class every class or you will get lost.

BEWARE She is a VERY difficult teacher. She was an honors teacher then went down to teaching regular 2060 classes, the class has no slack in it. Lectures are very fast paced. "Behind schedule" kind of mentality. Quizzes and tests are graded very hard. The test questions are even harder. Wish I knew this before taking her, expects you to know a lot.

Easily the most difficult calculus class I had taken to date. She taught the material well, although don't blink, you will miss something important. The only downside is no online notes. Tests are usually graded pretty tough. Final replaces your lowest test and be grateful for that. Expect around 2-3 2 hour long online HW and a quiz weekly.

I won't call this class "easy" because it is multivariable calculus, but I do think she made it as easy as she could given the material. If you pay attention in class and do the homework you will be fine. Prevost was a great teacher and had a sense of humor. She's definitely my favorite professor so far.

Very smart professor and genuinely cares for her students, however her tests are pretty hard and her weekly quizzes can make you pull your hair out. Expect HW every night and be prepared to study. A's are possible but difficult to receive.

Class is practically impossible there is an unbelievable amount of homework and you have some every night. If you fall a bit behind or miss one class your toast. Grading is extremely tough. If you are really into and really good at math take her if you need to pass don't. would not recommend at all.

Ridiculous amounts of homework, material isn't incredibly tough but the way she teaches makes it unnecessarily difficult. She is very specific about what she wants and how she wants problems done. The homework is atrocious; I don't have time for anything other than math homework now.

Dr. Prevost is a tough professor, but if you're willing to work for it, you will succeed. Do ask her questions and go to the review sessions, she is very willing to help. You must do all the homework, sometimes identical questions are on the quizzes. Overall, she was a great teacher.

Terrible teacher. Idk why she has such a great rating on here. Homework 247 and tests are hard as anything. Also quizzes every week. Do not take the honors level class. She is smart but does not know how to teach. Also makes you feel very dumb if you ask her questions. No practice tests, you basically learn the entire book if you want to pass.

For 2080, I would take someone else. She has an ungodly amount of homework each week while most other 2080 classes have ZERO mandatory HW. She takes off a ton of points for format even if you get the right answer. And you'll see exam questions that she never even talked about. She is nice though, but I wish I took someone else.

She makes the material way too complex. She knows the materials well, but cannot teach it for understanding. There is HW every MWF, quizzes TH, and gives worksheets for HW. The amount of work for this class is insane. When I did my HW, it would usually take 2-6 hours (every MWF). Too much work and she makes it way too complex. Get another teacher.

What a terrible life experience. Try to avoid as much as possible, she definitely knows the material but honestly you need to work the problems as perfectly as a textbook to get a solid grade

The amount of homework given is ridiculous and impossible. Then the tests and weekly quizzes are impossibly hard, especially compared to other classes who get to use note cards or notes on tests. She does not let this happen. Going to office hours is a waste she is rude and barely helps. Overall worst professor I have had at Clemson.

She is probably the worst professor you can get for 206 and 208 at Clemson. I don't know how she has such a high rating on here. She offers a fair amount of office hours, but if you ask her anything, she is really condescending. She does not provide adequate test prep, and she rushed like crazy to cover all the material at the end. Avoid!
