I Love Professor Ballard! She knows her stuff, cares about her students and their futures in the CDFR field. Excellent teacher. Believes in community service over exams just for grading purposes. Lazy and immature students--do everyone a favor--don't take this class and save her slots for those who want to learn more about CDFR.

Run for your life! She's very scatterbrained and has no idea what is really going on, probably b/c she doesn't really TEACH anything! Either student presentations come in (some worse than high school ones) or her grad assistant has us make a collage or something. This class is seriously a waste of time but it might just be her. Very Frustrating!

I found this Instructor to be very fair and always prepared for class. We had a class of about 50 or 60 everyone really liked her and respect her a great deal. One of the Instructor's at ECU. Thanks ECU for providing us with such a great instructor.Enjoyed everyday of her class.

If you were talked into taking this teacher please go change your schedule! She is so so boring and all she does is talk about her son. I hated going to her class and it was a 9:00 am class. She is a good person and she knows her information, but she is boring and its hard to give feedback in her class.

Dr. Ballard took a hard class and turned it into something we all enjoyed. You are required to do a presentation outside of class but with her guidance, you will be fine. She doesnt leave her students out to dry, she tucks them under her wing and guides them through so dont worry. She is great!

Makes Child Development come alive. East to follow as far as keeping up with note-taking. Tests reflect what has been covered in class and grades can be strengthened by skimmimg the chapters before tests. All assignments are laid out at the beginning of the semester. No surprizes there.

Dr. Ballard is really nice, but equally as boring. She doesn't take attendance, so when you put no attendance and boring together, it makes you really not want to go. The quizzes are online and pretty easy, and the project was pretty simple. It's an alright class but i wouldn't necessarily recommend

This lady is AWESOME! She is just so incredibly nice! I highly reccomend her for this class. Lectures are clear and the tests are very straight forward (she gives you guidelines to follow when studying). The projects are time consuming, but FUN!!!
