I took this over the summer and Dr. Kanfoush made the long classes exciting and fun. I was honestly dreading this class before it started, however I'm glad I took it. Labs were completed daily due to it being a 16 week course taught in 4 weeks. We went on a field trip, which was one of the best parts of the class.

Dr. Kanfoush is great. Hard class, but she is a great professor. Very helpful, go to her office hours. It's easy to get lost in the material b/c there's so much info, but again, go to her office hours. Tests are a little brutal - study ahead of time & do the study questions. She's very reasonable & she truly cares about the students. Take her!

Dr. Kanfoush is a really good teacher. She's very nice, very helpful, & really seems to care about the students. Her tests are difficult, but if you study, do the study questions or go to her office for help, you should be fine. She made this class (a boring subject) actually interesting. Definitely would recommend!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Kanfoush. Oceanography is hard, but if you read the textbook and do the study questions right along, you'll be fine. Pop quizzes aren't that hard, she goes over the material right at the beginning of the class. The term paper's only 6-7 pages, not a big deal. Do the work, put in the time and effort, you'll do fine.

I have her for oceanography.. class was interesting.. a lot of chemistry.. very helpful person.. always nice. pop quiz's suck.. but just be prepared. Tests are HARD.. so make sure you study like a week before.. also.. USE THE STUDY QUESTIONS! thats what the pop quizs are mostly on

Very good teacher and very aproachable.She is a tough grader though and the test are very hard if you do not prepare for them. However, she is more than willing to help you and wants you to do well, not suffer. I think she is a great person!
