Comment:

Grades very hard. Is unorganized and not understanding when it comes to absences. Could not learn from her whatsoever and was very hard to grasp what she exactly wanted from us. She expects you to be a wonderful writer. I have to retake this class and I'm not the only one who has too.

Comment:

Professor Stockton is a delightful woman, who really knows her stuff. Her classes are certainly not a breeze- there are many novels. However; she is really nonchalant about reading, never singles kids out in class, and usually keeps classes fun. She is a tough grader, but definitely not impossible. Her finals are tough, but take home. She is great.

She's mediocre. She's kinda monotone and boring in class. Pop quizzes aren't too bad, but she's a tough grader on essays. She believes that her interpretation of things are right and yours may or may not be. Strong emphasis on close reading and "not over-reaching." Just not that great if you are a non major.

Any prof who starts lecture by saying "sometimes I get in trouble because I cuss too much in class" rocks my world. She wasn't difficult, she made the material interesting, and overall her exams were pretty easy. It is easy to BS through her class- she goes over the material on the test. You don't even have to go through the extensive reading list.

She is a voracious teacher dedicated to her work and usually energetic in class. Grades fairly. But, as a non-major not intrinsically knowledgeable about the material, I found that she often assumed we knew more than we did. And the readings were often way too dense. But good for those interested
