Great professor. He is flamboyant, yet down to earth. Some people fall asleep in his class but Art History is extremely interesting. If you have all your notes filled out, there is no reason not to get an A. He lets you ask all the stuff you missed on his note sheets and use them during tests. He's a great easy professor. Highly Reccomended.

If you dont take notes in class, YOU WILL FAIL the tests. If you take notes and study for the tests, you will do fine. He is an extremely hard grader when it comes to the museum reports. In my opinion, I thought the class was boring as heck. He reminds me of the teacher from the show Charlie Brown that has the monotone voice.

BASICALLY he talks like the guy in the "clear eyes" commercial,very monotone & its hard to pay attention. ALSO he closes his eyes ALOT while he talks and its irritating haha. Theres no textbook, but everything is from notes so you HAVE to go to class. You never have HW but tests are hard & you have to do 2 museum reports. Not recommended

ok i think that he's a really easy teacher, if you come to class and take his notes you'll do fine cuz anything that he says or emphasizes will def be on the test. From the study guides everything is word for word when you get the test so its not that bad. 3 tests, one huge paper and even then i did a terrible paper the night before and got a B

i would recommend taking this class just because hes a pretty chill guy, you only have three tests and three papers. the tests are easy to get an a on because all the material is right in front of you

Talks in a monotonous voice and is extremely boring. His written assignments are really hard. He expects you to analyze things he does not even talk about or show in class. When we review for the tests he does not give us answers, only reads the questions out loud. Only bonus is he gives you a "cheat sheet" for the tests.

before i took the class, i wasnt interested in art and i thought the class would be intense memorization and completely pointless. it is actually really interesting, and he is a great teacher. He loves the subject,is enthusiastic, and very clear. the class is also pretty easy, and hes a funny guy.

Summer session drawing: Great drawing class - esp. if you think you can't draw. Mr Stuart was always very positive in his comments and makes sure the rest of the class stays positive too. He takes his job seriously - so no talking in class while drawing & is strict on attendance. Fair to easy grader.

I took this class in summer session and there were only 2 tests and 2 museum reports. Everything on the test was from lecture notes - no book. If you take the class, get a classmate to share notes with you just in case. Take him soon because he's trying to retire in a year or so.

Shawn comes off as a bit harsh and flamming at first but he is really a nice man. you must go to class - or at least make friends with others who are there often. 3 tests, 1 final, and every thing you need to know is on the study guide - Easy, A / B if you pay attention and study a bit. Don't waste money on the book - we hardly used it.

easiest A+++ u will ever get...plenty of extra credit but beware..lots of tedious memorization. if ur taking it as a telecourse dont even bohter buying the tapes..they are not covered anywhere and its a waste of money. the class is not FUN but it is EASY
