I've had Dr. Garvey for many classes over the years, and she's one of my favorites. She goes above and beyond for the students and truly cares about each and every student. She is insanely inappropriate at times, but she doesn't mean it at all, so it should never be taken seriously. I have nothing but respect and love for this lady!

She was a good teacher. She comes off a little hard, but as long as you make an effort to try and ask her questions she will absolutely help you! She may say some things that seem rude but she doesn't mean it at all. Love her and can't wait to take her again!

If you are a theatre major, Dr. Garvey has an incredible amount to offer. She does tend to get off topic a lot, telling stories that don't always relate to the material, but she is extremely well-educated and has a great deal to offer to a serious acting student. Acting 2 is ALL about Eugene O'Neil. She directs many shows.

VERY difficult teacher, but also very caring. If you get on her good side and show that you are willing to learn and listen to her stories that make no sense you will get a good grade. Never publicly question her, and always agree with her to her face (even if you really do the opposite, she will forget what she said in a few days)

Dr. Garvey is a wonderful woman! she loves EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HER STUDENTS. she care an incredible amount for students, especially if they show her respect. Not only is she talented, she knows what she is talking about and you can learn a lot from her if you go in with an open mind. I would absolutely recommend a class with her!

Avoid Dr. Garvey, as she is very hard to get along with, and she tends to look down upon her students. She also tends to complicate things, and has no sense of humor at all. Theater and no sense of humor do not mix. Take a class with another professor.

Dr. Garvey is quite an unpleasant tart.With a degree from NYU, she thinks she is the prize of the department.However, shes quite unprofessional; an amateur at best.Always tardy, Dr. Garvey would lose her head if it wasnt already attached. Stay away from this scatterbrains condescending guilt trips.
