Took her for a core class and although there's a ton of homework and super high expectations, it was super rewarding in the end as I learned more about myself. She can be very intimidating and rarely responds to emails though. She also assigns a lot more homework holiday breaks. She once assigned an essay due the middle of spring break

She genuinely cares about her students well - being and learning. Unfortunately this often gets clouded in her disorganization and biased opinions. Class discussions are often very engaging and stimulating.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. Her opinions are the only ones that matter in her class and she continually bullied/called out students over comments they made from weeks prior. Class structure was very disorganized. You will also never know when homework/essays are due because they are rarely discussed or posted online. If I could give a 0 rating I would.

Super strict, super harsh, just kind of intense person. If you mess up or say something stupid, she won't forget. Bullied students multiple times to the point where some stopped going to class. Creates a sense of competition in the classroom that made it feel like we were working against each other. Also, LOTS of reading and LOTS of homework.

I liked her for the first few classes, but I slowly began to dislike her as the semester went on. She's incredibly biased and will berate you in class if you dare disagree with her opinion. Lots and LOTS of reading, and if you don't participate don't expect a good grade. She creates a sense of negativity and competition in the class. DO NOT TAKE.

Easily one of my favorite professors at LMU. Not only are the class discussions interesting and relevant to students, but the type of dialog she encourages is pretty rare to find on college campuses. She cares about your well-being and mental health and you'll walk away with a better understanding of yourself and lessons that last a lifetime!

I took Christian Marriage & Sexuality with Dr. Jones. She's a tough grader and she assigns a lot of homework, but I really enjoyed her as a teacher. She cares about her students and tries to push you to be your best. Be prepared to do a TON of writing, out of class assignments, and online quizzes/assignments. Participation/Attendance MANDATORY!

Incredibly passionate and offers an interesting perspective. She creates an open atmosphere for discussing normally uncomfortable conversation topics which I found to be very helpful in my personal growth. Her teaching method forced you to put forth the effort and critically approach every reading and topic. Her class is tough but rewarding.

Do NOT take. I have never gotten such scathing comments on my paper simply because she disagrees w/ my opinion. As an UD core course, the class is both ridiculously demanding and unreasonable. One 7-page paper, midterm essay, 20 page research paper plus 10 minute online presentation, final, and homework due every week, 2 days before class. Awful

Shes nice but does not understand theology is a core class. Assignments due all the time on connect, including sundays and days you do not have even have class. Lots of work and class is discussion based. You will learn a lot but be prepared for all the work its pretty ridiculous. Not an easy A.

I am almost finished with her class and I am not satisfied at all. She is extremely biased, plays favorites, and assigns homework that we rarely discuss. I would never recommend her as a teacher. She treats her class, which is a core class, as if it is a Major class.

I got an A, but it was not easy. Had to brown-nose my way through the class because she plays favorites, holds very high standards for grading, and just wants you to agree with her opinion. Basically tells you what the church thinks and why it is wrong (which is weird and unexpected from a Catholic univeristy theology class).

Took her in Spring 2011 despite the bad ratings below. At first I thought she was ok and I just tried to remain on her good side by staying after class and participating. It worked for me because I did well in the class, but I can see why people would complain. I don't think she pushes her ideas on you as much as she is trying to explain her ideas

Awful. At first I really liked her but after the first few weeks she became incredibly biased and unwilling to hear others opinions. Hard grader. Technology illiterate (though she tries to use it for everything). Has a problem with evangelical Christians (be warned). She's a hard-headed atheist teaching Christian ethics. Not a good combination.

continued....her view is sacred. She is EXTREMELY biased. She grades more on essay format rather than content. I view her as superficial and careless towards the views of her students. She loves her family and her views...that is all she speaks about. She grades unfairly and WILL F up ur GPA's. I have never had a worst professor. EVER.

I read all comments for her theology class, and I extremely surprised. She is either bipolar or refuses to allow her students to intellectually grow. I do not have her at LMU, but I know she will only teach there. If you have her for any ETHICS course RUN FAST. She seems to draw you in at first, then she completely turns tables and her view is SACR

I took Dr. Jones at another college so I'm going to write on her LMU section since she will still be teaching there. She is the most biased teacher i've ever had. She doesn't check emails and has favoritism in her class. FYI, her husband calculates her classes grades for her.

Started semester loving her and the class. As time went on she loudly expressed personal beliefs and opinions and chastised students publicly if they did not agree. Broke a student down nearly to tears over her family's beliefs, grades based on your agreement with her beliefs. It is disgusting and makes the school look bad. Just keep this in mind.

This is a great class. She keeps things interesting and she values everyone's input. She loves participation in class, so if you love to debate and talk about ethical issues, this is for you. She's very kind and respectful of different opinions, and doesn't force anyone to have "christian" ethics of marriage and sexuality, thought they are explored
