This is my 4th art history class and its without a doubt the hardest. Prof Zuraw isn't a bad lecturer but she refuses to post any kind of study guide or help so if you don't have FLAWLESS notes you're in trouble. She also expects you to learn a ridiculous amount of material. Avoid taking her classes unless you are an Art History major.

In contrast to the derogatory comments you will see below, I thought Dr. Zuraw was brilliant! If you do not attend class, don't go to her officer hours if you need help, and not pay attention in class, you'll probably not do well. She has the highest respect for her students, and is a brilliant professor!

Dr. Zuraw is awesome! This is a WIP course and it can be a lot of work but she is extremely fair with grades and is willing to help you at any point. She is super nice and just wants her students to succeed. The subject matter is so interesting! Take her class before you leave UGA!

Best Art History professor at UGA. Has standards and gives very balanced grades. Enthusiastic about art history and shares this with students. Recommend this professor for all students who want to learn. The class was challenging, but pure joy to take. Slackers- don't bother to sign up - you'll ruin the class for everyone else.

Hardest art history class I've ever taken. Only two midterms and 2 papers, so you better do good on them. I've gotten A's in other ARHI classes, but she tests you on hard info about the artists rather than the works. She knows her stuff, but don't take her unless you want a challenge.

I was nervous to take her class. However, in the end I am really glad that I did. It was really interesting, and I could tell that she really loves what she does. She was extremely helpful and very nice. I would definitely recommend her class. She is my favorite of all the Art History teachers that I have had.

This woman has no place being here. She's on some kind of power trip and seems to enjoy making everyone think she's scary and a lot more significant than she really is. She publicly humiliates people, apparently has no regard for anyone's feelings, and talks to people in a very condescending way.

This woman abuses what power she has. In my opinion, she does so to the point of being unethical. She is responsible for dealing with new art majors - she likes to coax personal information from them and then try to publicly humiliate them and convince them that majoring in art will be too difficult to even bother.

everyone is afraid of her, but she is very nice and unintimidating in class. I really enojy her lectures. I was scared to take her at first, but I am so glad that I did. she is constantly giving us little perks in class to make things more fun.

probably a great scholar, she's a lousy, lousy teacher. condescending toward students and even toward fellow dept members. why or how could anyone work with this woman? doesn't see art as the thing that binds so amny people & cultures together. art galvanizes her and her superiority over everyone.

Her class is herd, but she actually knows her stuff, which is why it's hard. She didn't just read a lot of books to learn about the renaissance, she lived in Rome for 10 years. Worth the struggle (I took this class 7 years ago)
