This is a filler class if your a graduate student in SOM and she treats it as such. Easy going, with lots of group discussions in a big class. Make sure to engage and talk during the discussion as she grades you on participation. Couple of group projects & paper which are easy. Do extracredit if given, definitely makes a difference on your grade.

This class is the worst class I have ever taken. She does not teach at all, however she expects a lot from students. She sits in the back, exists in the class. That's all she does. I have learned nothing from this class. The class is totally waste of time and it is a shame for master level degree.

The group paper is worth most of your grade so make sure that you spend enough time with your group writing it. There are no tests, just online quizzes which aren't too hard. She sometimes gives extra credit for those who go to class

This is probably the easiest courses of J-Core. Shelley is extremely nice, even though she tries to scare students about their grades on the final project. Hopefully you end up in a good group (even though it is random). Exams can be tricky b/c they are 20 Q's MC. Also class is out of 100 points, she usually gives extra credit (5 points).

She's very fair in her grading, if you did your work according to her directions, you will be just fine. Her exams are 20 questions worth 20% of your final grade each. So one question wrong on your exam is one point off your final grade.

Very interesting class. Very dyamic. This class could be a disaster but Shelly manages to make it quite interesting for pretty straight forward material. Tests are annoying (each question is worth a point on final grade) but you can still fare well if you do well on the group project. She also provides extra credit opportunities.

Very straightforward and clear. Presents the material in an easily understandable manner. The project and group work this year wasn't conceived very well, but it's her first year doing it, so it's understandable.

I thought this class was fair. As long as you review and study for each exam, Professor Dionne was clear with her instructions and lenient with her class curriculum. A lot of the material was memorization, but group aspects is what annoyed a lot of people. As long as you did good in your solo work you should have done well! She is a fair teacher

Acts like she is willing to help students but never does. Grading system is absolutely ridiculous. Claims to be an "expert" in leadership yet is a terrible leader inside and outside the classroom. Stay away if possible.

A lot of the grade is dependent on group work which is annoying:two group papers and a community service project. Also, annoying how each question on the two tests counts for one point of the overall grade. Can get extra credit from participating in several surveys though. Actual material is interesting, I just didn't like the grading system.

very nice woman, class is interesting. read the book & her powerpoints for the test. 2 tests, 25 MC questions so you better study hard since each question is a point in the final grade. 2 group essays which can be tedious at times, but overall the workload is manageable and she is extremely approachable!

Absolutely no need to attend class 95% of the time. Each test is 25% and 25 questions, so a question wrong on the test is a question off your overall grade. Take part in extra credit to get the A. Group papers are difficult assignments because of the group dynamic, but Dionne is a fair grader and nice person; she'll help if you need it.

I really liked her class. It was a bit dull at times, but she was better than the other j-core professors I had. It's like a business psych class, which is interesting to me. Do well on the homework and go to class and you'll get an A. Tests are not extremely difficult.

I think she is very nice but I dont think she is teaching anything. All she does is to ask a question and let people raise their hands. Tests are more interesting than lecture, not a joke. Its not hard if you understand the ppt and charts. I use textbook a lot cuz im not attending class, reading is eady and i think its the most effective way.

She's really sweet and funny. Her class is like a business psychology course so most of the materials are common sense. It's an easy course with 2 non-cumulative exams and 2 mini "projects." No hw. I stopped going to her class after a month and still got an A.

I will never understand why a person without any knowledge nor interest in business teaches in a business program. Total waste of time and money. She seems to be a nice person, though.

I really liked Shelly. She is very nice, outgoing and enthusiastic about teaching, which is refreshing. The course material is not difficult but there are many concepts to remember, so it is important to pay attention in class and make the connections, and also review the text as well. I did better than expected considering my first exam grade.
