Soc of Sex Roles was wonderful. Dr. Tynes is so engaging, intelligent, and fun! This course is high quality. It does takes some time to keep up with the readings. I felt her tough grading on the paper was a bit arbitrary, but I made up for it. Take her class and you will get hugs from her for the rest of your Trinity career.

My absolute FAVORITE professor at Trinity. I chose to take this class because she was the teacher, but it ended up being really fascinating. If you do not like reading a bunch for homework, beware because this class is reading-heavy. But the readings are super interesting, so that is a plus.

I think Dr. Tynes is an inspiring professor. The class wasn't always enough to keep me up at 8:30 but Dr. Tynes is accepting of others' views and the projects are interesting and she gives you a lot of freedom with them so you can get what you want out of the class. Readings are long and essential but pretty interesting.

One of the best teachers Ive had trinity...she's funny and the class is entertaining and interesting...you learn about a lot of things you usually take for granted... LOTS of reading but it's generally pretty interesting... the tests are detailed but just pay attention in class.. basically this class is awesome and everyone should take it!!!

This class is VERY interesting. The tests do cover petty details but are fairly easy. Just do your readings and come to class. Coming to class is easy though - it is always entertaining.

Tynes is a fabulous teacher, who very much enjoys the class, and the interaction with and between students. She encourages talking. On the other hand, there's more reading in this class than any two others I've had combined, and it's all required to do well on the tests. Still a great prof though.

GRRRRRRRRREAT class. What else can I say? Sure, the tests and papers are hard, but the lectures and guests are worth it. Dr. Tynes is also one of the greatest ladies on campus. She will always remember you and she shares great stories!

Soc of sex roles was one of the most interesting classes I took at Trinity. Dr. Tynes is not easy on her students- she wants hard work. I had her my freshman year and continued to receive a smile from her in passing on campus up until I graduated.

She's extremely interesting, as is her class; however, you must work your ass off(especially in readings) to do well on tests. she tests over minute details. projects are fun, though time consuming. wonderful teacher, you will learn a lot.
