i had this class back in 01. i have to say none of the tests correlated with the lecture and half the time not the text book she is an awful teacher who should no longer be on the faculty. All of the other reviews are right i never heard more about slavery in one sitting. I think she was obsessed with it

This woman is the worst teacher i have ever had in my life.you cant hear her unless she is standing right next to you and has no idea what she is talkin about i swear she makes things up.you will fail every single test you take(along with the rest of the class)i studies 4 days for the last test and got a solid 49..i have never done that in my life!

possibly the worst teacher i ever had in my life. i wish i could say one thing about her but i can't. i hope she gets fired like tomorrow. it dosen't matter if you study for the test or not, your still going to fail. HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!

Difficult because her lectures are a small fragment of what she puts on the exams. Her Mill Girls exam was crap, I read the book twice and still failed. She's nice, and she tries, but many in my class are doing poorly. Avoid.

She isn't a bad teacher. The lectures are fairly boring, but if you take notes they go by more quickly. The tests are long, but multiple choice and she gives study guides with everything on it. There are also extra credit essays which add 10 pts to your test. Shes nice..give her a chance.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER!! I took 202 with her my sophmore year and failed. She just wanted to talk about women and slavery. Im taking 202 with Davis now and actually learning about the US before 1865! She lectures like she is debating against no one and her tests are ridiculous.

HORRIBLE!! Very Hard Teacher, I am a History major and I hated this class!!! She gives no extra help, HAS NO EMAIL address so u cant contact her, and also does not let you make up any exams if you are sick...I had pink eye and she made me come into class to take the exam anyways. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER!!!

this Teacher is Absolutly Horriable don't Take this Class. Her lectures are soo Freaking long and its a 90 % chance you will fall asleep and her test are seriously impossiable. Even the really smart kids in the class failed her test with 50's if anyone got a 70% on her tests thats like gettin 100%

One word to explain this class- AWFUL! Her tests are soooooo long. You would think the tests are easy cause they are multi choice but half of the info on them was never covered. You can't understand her lectures cause you cant hear her, she doesnt make sense and she jumps from topic to topic.
