Shohreh is an amazing teacher. She thoroughly explains concepts in class and is always accessible outside of class if you need extra help. Shohreh is also very caring and patient. If you attend all her lectures, do the assigned readings and do all the labs yourself, you mot likely will get an A in her class. 10/10 would take again

Shohreh is a really lovely teacher, but I found her teaching style super disorganized and hard to follow along. I feel this class would be good for students that already have a bit of a background in coding.

Comment:

Shohreh puts a lot of thought and effort into her classes and teaching style. Gentle grading, prefers to discuss your logical process behind your actions than to just dock you marks for being wrong. Actually talks to students during lecture, rather than at them; makes class comfortable, fun, and engaging. An absolutely delightful woman.

Shohreh is a really fair marker. She'll only take about 2 marks out of 60 from your lab work if you make mistakes. She's very caring and wants to be sure you understand everything. Her native tongue is Portuguese and sometimes her English instructions are not clear so make sure you clarify what her exceptions are , she's only too happy to explain.

Shohreh is a kind and caring woman, but I honestly walked out of every lecture of this class having learned nothing. Disorganized teaching style and late/inconsistent marking. Would definitely not take her course again.

Comment:

I wish she could teach every subject that I'm taking. Gentle approach to a subject, I feared I would never understand any programming language, but her job is what makes me stand up and work more not for the grades but for myself, for this is truly interesting. Many blessings for guidance!

Best prof I've ever had. This is not an easy class but she's really helpful if you go to her office hours. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. Just show up to class do the labs by yourself and you'll get an A.

Shohreh is a very friendly and approachable professor, but she is very unorganised. She takes her time marking your assignments, you won't get them back for at least a month. The group project assigned was very confusing. Parts of the course were rushed because she ran out of time. Appoints made with her were missed or she was late by 20+ minutes.

Absolutely terrible. Very little of the material applied to real life and she was confusing in her lectures. Most of the time did not know how to do the labs herself. I cant believe she is still working there so many people complain about her. Don't waste your money.

The most disorganized, totally misguided professor I have ever had to deal with. Despite having basic and even easy content she managed to make dealing with the material an ordeal. Instructions and outlines were given only to be later disregarded. Over ambitious projects were started and dropped. The class suffered greatly as a result. Don't do it.
