Comment:

I took Dr K's Differential Equations class over 21 years ago and I still regard him as one of the best teachers I've ever had. He was super organized and prepared and I do remember that he carried his class materials in a banana box!! He was also a fast grader and willing to go over material with students if they were having trouble. He's the best!

He's one of the best instructor in the college. I have never seen someone as passionate and enthusiastic in teaching as he did. I took his Bus Calc & Statistics class and finished with flying colors. Very important is to come ready for class and do the practice test before the exams. Thank u Dr. Kolpas for the recommendation letter to USC.

I took Differential Equations with him at GCC back in the Fall of 1996. The BEST Instructor! I remember him rushing into the class carrying the material in a Banana box. A passionate, and well organized Math Master. Not an easy instructor, but very fair. He's quality! Schools need dedicated teachers like him. Gaby

BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD! He is the most passionate and caring teacher there is at gcc! He cares and invest so much time into making sure his students understand. Anyone who doesn't appreciate him is lazy! He invest so much time and energy to see his students excel! I love him!

He's sometimes annoying, the way he puts the highest grades on the board as king and queen is so obnoxious, you feel like you're in a kindergarden or something. Even if you are an A student let's say with a 92/100, he does not care about you. He always plays favorites with the highest grades and make you feel stupid. I did not like his class!

This man is pretty much the ideal professor for any college or university. He's so knowlegeable, passionate, and really funny when it comes to math. Lol, he's so good, you could even find him in wikipedia. I'M NOT JOKING!!! XD....I'm gonna miss him the most.

I took 146 with him, and without a doubt Dr. Kolpas was the best math teacher I have ever had. I wish all math teachers were as amazing as he was. I am sad that he had to retire, I wish he was my teacher for all my math classes.

I'm a math major from Ms. Saber's class and she seriously made me hate math so much,I wanted to quit my major. However,in the last few weeks,she couldn't teach and Dr. Kolpas taught in her place. With such enthusiasm and knowlege, he truly re-inspired me to continue pursuing my math career . THANK YOU DR. KOLPAS, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTING!!

HES THE ABSOLUTE BEST! You had to buy his lecture notes prior to the class but it was super helpful. At times he goes pretty fast, but if you ever need help, just visit him during office hours and he will do all he can to make sure you understand. Dr. K is just amazing. I'm sad he's retiring, sorry guys you lucked out!

I had Dr K over 10 years ago. Math is not my strong subject. I wrapped my entire schedule around his class just to learn from him. He is by far THE BEST math teacher you could ever have. His ethics about school and all around life are positive and above reproach.

Even though I failed his class, I think he is a wonderful teacher (failing is on me). He seems harsh at first, but he truly loves to teach and cares about his students. I would take him again if I could but he will no longer teach 103. Homework is required, but to understand Calc you need to do it anyway. A+ teacher
