Comment:

He revolves around the same topic for numerous classes. Thats great for helping to remember and go over topics but there is more on test than what he covers in class. If you dont mind hearing him talk and go off topic at times, Just read the chapters and use guide to see what to study. Very nice man He def wants to see you pass. Good humored

Comment:

Dr. Birnback is a very kind man who wants to see everyone in his class succeed. He remembers all of his students names, which is rare with professors, and maintains a welcoming atmosphere in his classroom. He gives no homework and minimal tests, which he makes easy to pass. He has had a long career in psychology and a lot of knowledge to share.

Comment:

All he does is talk about birds. Doesnt write good notes, doesnt know how to teach. Hes very nice though, but you basically have to prepare yourself through out the whole course. Dont expect to really learn anything in this course when you take it. I recommend a different teacher if you arent good at making up your own notes.

Dr Birnback is different. You can tell he is old school. He is so borning. I had to fight to keep my eyes open. He tells a lot of jokes that were not funny. He always gets off topic. He tends to forget what he taught & will teach the same thing next class. He doesnt give homework. Take notes on everything he says because it will be on tests.

He will not give you Ppt or note. You need to make your own note. Test is not easy if you don't read a book. Read a book before take a test. He is generous grader which curve grade. I didn't like his lecture at first but now I love his lecture. He is humorous.

Nice teacher. Only allows 3 absences. Tells a lot of personal stories and tends to stray from the original subject. Hard to follow without a textbook. Be prepared to take your own notes. Tells a lot of jokes which I don't personally find funny.

He spoke a lot about his experiences and you knew he really loved psyc but he doesn't really know how to teach the topic at hand He gives a study guide which is great but to earn a good grade on the 3tests you have to read the chapters yourself When you ask a question he kinda puts you down for not knowing the answer wish i took another professor

Dr. Birnback is the best professor I have ever had. His lectures are so interesting as he uses personal stories from his practice and does not just stick to the textbook. NO homework, 3 tests, no final exam (just a final test). He is extremely funny, truly loves psychology. Makes class so enjoyable! Take Dr. Birnback- you will learn so much!

He gets off topic alot and in order to pass his tests you have to REALLY read the book! He only gave us 3 tests. He doesnt really help you out if you have a question in fact he makes you feel dumb about yourself if you ask a question. This is a course you can take online cause you basically teach yourself all he talks about are birds.

He REALLY loves psych. sometimes the classes we hardly about psych, i personally zoned out a lot. tests were reasonable and the basis of the grade, he curves tests but you have to study. If you are self motivated this is a good class for you.

Nice guy, Rambles and get distracted easily. His lectures are long but they have stories from his life so it makes it entertaining and easy to follow. My only complaint is not to have a class before his. I had history class before his in the same room and he would change the clock forward to get the history teacher to leave early pretty childish.

Professor Birnback is a great teacher! Only gave 3 exams, the final was non cumulative, and if you study and know the definitions, you will do just fine. I personally didn't need to buy the book, but it could be helpful to some. He is very funny with his stories about his patients and experiences. I would definitely recommend!

Birnback is an awesome guy. Participate in class and he'll be your friend. I never bought the book, and so tests were hard for me but the way he grades is awesome! Did horrible in the multiple choice but the open ended was added on top of the first grade so that F on the scantron turns into a B! He was hilarious. Take good notes and you'll be fine.

Second time taking this professor and I love the way he teaches. Very laid back atmosphere. No need buying the book, I didn't even open mine. Don't miss his lectures because he goes over everything that he's going to put on the test. He curves grades and is overall a great guy!

an erudite prof who drives psych thru world history to connect the dots for you that the books dont offer thumbs up! (re comment: he does not ridicule individuals nor makes laughs at someones expense. his jokes are classy. you gotta know a bit more than the abcs to get his jokes.) youll see that psych is a piece of a huge puzzle called World.
