If you plan on ever giving a presentation, go to one of his talks. Thanks to his help, I can give a good scientific presentation now. You aren't likely to have him for your thesis class, but you can still go to one of his talks! (This is most useful if you've already discovered some of your mistakes in attempting one yourself.)

Good teacher, interesting work. His research is in everyday things like spinning discs, water droplets, crumpling paper, etc. He seemed very unfriendly to me, perhaps as a result of being absorbed in thought, or maybe he was intimidated by me.

He was alright, but sort of requires going to office hours. However, he did coax us to office hours with donuts. He is friendly and open to questions when you ask, but otherwise sort of confusing. Cool coffee stain art.
