I can say that Sidney is the best professor I had in the first semester. He gives amazing lectures and is always willing to explain the questions in class. Midterm and final will not be hard if you well command the materials covered in the lectures.

Trudeau is a really good prof. He explains questions really well, and pay attention in class! He literally pulls questions that he has gone over (for our final, I counted at least 3 or 4) which is really beneficial if you pay attention and write everything down. He's very informative, and if you put in the effort, you will very easily get an A.

I LITERALLY did the entire textbook for this course, however last night's final exam was the worst thing I've ever written. I know the class average for this course is always a B-, so that being said, they probably kill us on the final to raise us at the end. I definitely failed the exam, but I hope I passed the course. Nonetheless he's a good prof

He's a good teacher but the lectures and homeworks are NOT representative of what will be on the exam. You had to be a genius to answer most of the problems on there and the test is hardly on calculus, its on whether or not you can simplify your very complicated answer to match the ones given in the multiple choice. This is the majority's opinion.

Not a terrible class but you will never see Sid smile. Very monotone, pretty boring, you will most likely dread going to this class. However not the hardest math ever, so you'll be ok.

By far my favorite professor first semester of University. I don't know if you could call it humor, but Sid makes every class enjoyable. Make sure you stay on top of your work, as a lot of material is covered in a short amount of time. Upset that I don't get to have class with him anymore...

best lecturer you can imagine. he is very helpful and explains everything really good. also he pays attention to the class by checking if everyone understood or not. he asks from the book. he is not trying to fail you. he is trying to help you pass instead with A and understanding the course.

My favourite teacher at Mcgill. He is really really good at explaining and not boring you. His toning and voice is really clear too, and in a big class like Math 140 you need that. Overall, he is the best!!!

Sid is a very nice genuine guy. In a class of 1200 people, if you go to office hours, he's very attentive and makes you feel like he really cares about getting you through his class. That being said -- it is an extremely difficult class and you will not pass unless you are putting in the work 24/7 and constantly doing practice problems. Do not cram

Professor Trudeau is an incredibly nice and caring man along with being an excellent teacher. You learn a lot from his lectures. His exams are by no means easy but they are still completely fair. If you do a bunch of textbook questions and fundamentally understand them, there is no reason for you not to do well.

I'm never really a math person but Sid was the best Math prof I've had. He was very resourceful and clear about what he was teaching and gave out lots of good examples to make this hard course easier. Got a high A in the final and it's basically everything he had emphasized throughout the course. Awesome prof!

Sid's a solid lecturer, but his final exams are pretty tough. Your best bet is to do a lot of practice from the textbook, as the exam questions are exactly replicas of or similar to odd numbered book problems.
