She is truly an amazing teacher! Her sense of humor is great. She loves what she does and makes class fun & interactive. If you miss class youll fall behind. Show up, do the homework, and practice! She gives EC opportunities throughout the semester so do it! She is always willing to answer questions! I had a fun semester with her, best class!

I loved this class, I am a bilingual student so I was nervous about taking another language but she makes the class super fun! I picked it up so quickly that I didn't even have to study in order to carry a conversation. Don't overstress about the test bc u will make mistakes if u do. She's super funny and loves telling anecdotes.

Ms Simone is an amazing teacher! As an english speaker, learning ASL can be very intimidating. She fills the class with her fun, bubbly personality and makes everyone feel like a family. If you miss class, you will fall behind. I did that mistake during one of the last quizzes and my grade dropped 10%. Overall, she makes learning ASL fun

if you miss class- you will fall behind. You learn so much each class, but it is so easy. Easiest class ever, because she actually loves what she does. She is so friendly and hilarious. Read the little details for homework. Actually do the homework, don't cheat.

She is just the most amazing teacher I ever had at Grossmont. Very funny, easy to talk to, makes every class fun, explains everything well, answers any question you have, not tough, Over all awesome! Grading is easy, just come everyday and you'll pass, do study for tests and/or quizzes and you pass. Easy essay at end of semester. Mostly an easy A.

Hands down the BEST professor ive ever taken. She is very funny and shares a lot of stories. She really cares for her students and is willing to help if needed. Dont skip class cause you learn something new and IMPORTANT everyday. Make sure you get a class mates number just Incase you do miss a class to learn the material. Id take it again.

She is super funny and personal, really takes time to get to know all of her students. If you show up every day and pay attention, you'll do just fine. The class is super easy if you show up and participate. There is a lot to learn at class so try not to miss. She also gives great feedback on tests and makes the class super fun.

Very funny prof! Told lots of personal stories. Tries hard to make you really learn ASL. Part of the class is learning about Deaf culture. Tests are pretty difficult, you really have to study for them. Lots of practice signing in class, too. Getting up and signing the same things to different people for practice. Doesn't let you be lazy.

She is AMAZING. If you have never taking ASL but are interested I HIGHLY suggest taking her. Her class is fairly easy and she teaches in a very "easy to follow" type way. You will fail if you miss class, you are constantly learning things. There is two presentations and one paper, but very easy and passable.

BEST TEACHER EVER! If you need help or dont understand, shes right there to help you. I would take her class a million times if I could. Shes funny and makes things really simple to understand. Offers extra credit and shows us really cool cultural videos. Tests were signed as half vocab, half sentences and super easy. TAKE HER!

Simone is truly amazing. She is hearing so it's a big help when learning ASL or if you are confused. All her lectures are applied to the quizzes, midterm, and final. Must attend at least one Deaf event and type a paper regarding your experience. Do not commit to this class if you can't make it to every class, it's important you attend all classes.

Simone is a bridge between those of us who are hearing and the deaf world. She is patient, kind, honest, punctual, caring, transparent. I always looked forward to her classes. You will never feel awkward learning sign or asking "dumb" questions.

I loved Simone's sense of humor. Very personable, and thorough. Her lectures DIRECTLY applied to the tests. She gave plenty of extra credit opportunities. She was patient with us and we learned plenty of signing principles as well as a solid introduction into the deaf culture. She is very gifted. I am taking ASLII because of her.

Simone is a wonderful instructor. She truly cares about each student. If you're not going to make it to class, let her know. You will miss the participation points but she will work with you, whatever your struggle is. She's very funny. She is hearing, if that matters to you. But I wish I had taken her for ASL 1.

Simone truly cares about her students. She tells funny stories that have to do with what you're learning and it makes it so much easier to understand that unit. Attendance matters & so does participation in class. There is a lot of homework but it's very helpful. Group work. Put in all your effort & you'll get an A. Highly recommend taking her!

ASL is a class where you need to show up every class. Simone is a hearing ASL Teacher which will not help you. In order to be a good signer your really must shut off your mouth. Phones are not allowed in class. People do tend to drop so if your in the top 5 of the waitlist stick it out. There is a requirement to go to atleast one deaf event.

She tells a lot of stories and likes to make the class fun while we learn. I always looked forward to this class! You work in the book the whole semester, try to do bookwork before the next class day (about one section in the unit per class). The class is based off of the book. Easy class just don't miss a day, you'll be lost. Would take again!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!! This is the best class that I've taken so far, and I loved it! Simone is hilarious and an awesome teacher. Helps with anything and everything. I would definitely recommend her.
