Wonderful professor. Makes you work for it! Great at providing study guides and plenty of material to excel in the class but you must be dedicated and put the time in. Paper to pencil work is required for this class! She is always willing to help you when you need it. Easily accessible and extremely knowledgeable woman. Would take her class again!!

Mrs. Ivanova is always there for help, she will sit down with you and make sure you understand the material. if you want an A, make sure you do the HW and the practice tests before the test and it will be an easy A.

Professor Ivanova is really caring about you. But only if you show genuine interest in her class. At times, her accent is funny (she's Belarusian) but she's usually easy to understand when you can hear her. Very no-nonsense but for good reason. Chemistry is difficult and she teaches rather fast but make sure you let her know if you understand.

Just save yourself the stress and time. This was by far the worst class I have ever taken in my life. Very nice professor but, she is way to advanced and expects others to be on that level. The homework will make you pull your hair out and the study guides are nothing like the tests. God bless if you end up taking her class.

You will definitely have to teach yourself most of the material taught in this class. Beware the study guides help but many of the questions on the test go a step further or are reworded and harder to complete. Homework is time consuming. Most of the class did not do well.

I would not advise taking her unless you want to spend the majority of your time teaching yourself. She doesn't explain things thoroughly she just expects you to know it off bat when majority of students haven't taken Chemistry since high school. With chemistry already being a difficult subject she does not make it any easier to learn.

This is a tough class. I believe Ivanova is a brilliant woman and seems to be very nice. However, she doesn't simplify at all and teaches way over your head (if you are not a Chem wiz.) She will even skip over topics if she believes they are "too simple." Basically, she is overqualified. Lots of independent studying is required to grasp concepts.

haven't taken chm in 4 years, made a c in hs. i struggled A LOT thru the first units, i spent 1-2 hours half the week trying to understand it, and then in clicked. chm is understanding the CONCEPT. DO THE practice sets and practice tests (they come with the key). despite all the struggling first 2 weeks, made a 93 first test, 95 second test. glhf.

Her classes are sooo boring, seriously you are basically on your own because the work she gives you is exactly what is done in class, so pretty much just sit there to review exactly the same material already provided. Homework is awful, its due every week, and for lab she made you stay there the entire time but she conducts the experiments herself.

HARD class-do not take online. 2 lecture test & final. TOO much homework on OWL-especially on test weeks. 4 lab tests. She did most of the labs and we watched. Lectures confusing-we also had to watch thinkwell video as she doesn't lecture for everything. Do not recommend unless you have about 10+ hours/week to study.

Professor Ivanova is a great teacher. She is always willing to help students. If you are not clear on whatever you struggle with, just GO to her office and ask questions. She will explain very clearly. Her class might be boring, but she gives students lots of resources online and in class. Those resources help you A lot. TAKE HER CLASS!

I love Profesor Ivanova. Chemistry is a very hard subject, you need to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to be able to make a good grade. She is very helpful and approachable. You can get extra help from her on office hours, also she will help on study groups. Advice; read and be prepare a little before class. NEVER GET BEHIND!!

Great teacher, just a difficult subject. But if you show effort and ask questions you will do very well. Has an accent but she's not difficult to understand. Make sure to do problem sets because almost all of the test questions come from those. Overall, great professor and as long as you show you are willing to learn she will help you.

This class is hard. She taught about 10% of the lesson while 90% you have to rely through book and handouts. Test can become challenging, make sure you do good on tests to pass class not quizzes. Its hard work and determination that got me my A. Do mastering chem, it helps in the end. You have to put over 30 hrs of studying to make a decent grade.

Its hard to make a good grade in her class but she's a very good teacher. It's just a difficult subject. Chemistry has a Russian accent in my head now.
