Okay this lady can not be serious! She is the worst teacher I have had in my entire academic career. She doesn't teach the material and when you ask for help she literally yells at you. Sonia is also very rude to her students and her grading is not fair. I am dropping SOLELY because of this lady. If you want to quit french , take this class!

Terrible teacher. Disrespectful to students and extremely harsh when she doesn't agree with you. I hate the class and literally dread going every week. It is boring and annoying. some movies are interesting but analyzing them is impossible.

Very stubborn. Class was African Cinema and we watched some good movies.. but some really boring movies. There is one right answer and absolutely wrong answers for her, and she refuses to accept other interpretations. She is so stubborn with her paper grading and does not effectively use the class time well.

It is true that she is a very difficult grader. I am an otherwise 4.0 student and I got a B with her. She is actually very nice, however, and is she is always willing to explain things. Sometimes she contradicts herself though, which is a problem for me. The discussions in her class are always interesting and diverse.

This was one of the worst classes I have ever taken. Sonia Lee is a very hard grader. This calss also requires a lot of outside work because you have to watch a movie and write about it every week. I would not reccomend this class.

I took the french film festival course. She has a thick french accent and she doesn't speak up, hard to decipher what she is saying. And they give no feedback on papers. If you like feedback on your work, don't take this class. Not worth time/effort.

Not my favorite person in the world, but because the class was discussion based, if you talk a lot you can still get an A pretty easily. She follows the French style of teaching where the teacher is just very authoritative.

Okay- abosolutely horrible for 241. She is the FRENCH disciplinarian. DO NOT take any classes in french with this woman, especially not technical ones. Took three classes with her. Everything everyone said here is doubly true.
