Simply a gem of a prof. Very sweet and understanding. Lectures were intersting albeit a little monotone. I learned a lot from this class. Wold take this prof again for sure.

Professor Mukai is actually a very nice and knowledgeable professor. Yes, he may not be the most entertaining one but he knows so much about parasitology and is a totally fair marker. He is calm and respectful and I'd definitely take a class with him again. I got an A in his class.

If I could go back in time I wouldve never taken this course with this professor. His lectures are really boring and hes a tough grader. If you dont want your GPA to drop, do not take this course with this prof.

Very boring professor. He comes off nice at first but his marking is brutal. He has pop quizzes at the end of class sometimes which kind of force you to come to his vey boring class. He also gave out this very hard assignment on targeting a protein and coming up with a virus that the majority of the class struggled with.

Dr. Mukai's classes are super boring! Everything is pure memorization, and i was so excited going into this class because Parastitology can be really interesting but it didn't turn out the way i expected. He gave us a lecture to study that was 99 slides just before the final exam (on top of the 14 others) that he didn't even teach. He marks hard.

Wow, what a great prof! Lectures are fun and informative. If you attend and participate you will do just fine. He's always available to help outside of class and replied to emails very quickly. Great and very kind and understanding prof. Good course for those interested in medicine too. Wish he taught more courses.

This is a pure memorization course. On the last week of school, he posted a 99 slide immunology pp that we were responsible for knowing for the final. Although abundant, the material is interesting. Lectures are boring.

Dr. Mukai is the kind of professor we all want. He has very clear and fair expectations. He is completely willing to revisit something with you if you're uncertain. He wants students to learn and not be scared of the material. He isn't a thrilling lecturer, but if you pay close attention he makes subtle jokes than can be entertaining.

Professor Mukai is one of the best professors I have had at York. Human physiology is not the easiest class, but he is able to explain the concepts and mechanisms with great clarity. Very approachable and personable.

I went to 3 classes the entire semester. I passed with a B+. Super boring lectures, really polite (he's willing to help if you ask). His tests are basically his PowerPoints. His assignments do require extra internet research, however. Tip: The things he highlights in his PowerPoints are usually on the tests.

He's shy and quiet, but his assignments and quizzes easily boost up your grade. You don't necessarily need to go to class since he posts everything on noodle and everything he teaches is based on the textbook. His tests are a bit tricky but he gives points even if you dont have the complete answer (for shortlong questions). HE'S ALSO REALLY CUTE!!

He is a very nice and helpful prof!!! He cares a lot about his students. His lectures are not the most exciting, but his assignments are very easy I got 95% on each. Test are based on the text, so make sure you fully understand the reading/concepts! As long as you do the readings (which are not that much) , and pay attention you will do fine.

Very sweet but shy, has boring lectures (I went to each one and only stayed awake for one), very quiet and reads right off the slides. No need for the textbook, all slides are taken directly from it. He helps students with their papers by bringing in research journals. Got A, but don't recommend intro to bio with him.

Thought it was a Intro to Bio Course... but it was pretty hard, most of his multiple choice comes from the text book. Assignments are very easy. He is very shy, quiet and mumbles a lot. He teaches from his slides

He's very shy and nice. Mumbles in class at times but will help and further explain if you ask. Tests are not too easy but if you attend his classes and study from the slides you will be fine.

worst prof ever!!! He doesn't know how to even talk so teaching is beyond that! The class is very boring, first test more than half failed the test! He is not helpful in lectures and attending his lectures is torture. One needs to self learn all the physiology. With most sincere advice, don't take his class.

Prof Mukai is an extremely shy professor, but VERY nice. I must say his tests are no joke. You need to seriously prepare for them. The first midterm, MAJORITY of the class failed, a few did excellent. MUST RECORD HIS LECTURES! Slides are very detailed. Nice guy. NOT a bird course! RECOMMEND IF YOU'RE A SERIOUS STUDENT.
