Sister Pat is a nice lady, but the school definitely needs to make improvements. She barely teaches you anything, and most of the time you're in your room trying to figure everything out. The only nice thing is that the tests are open book, but I don't feel like I'm actually learning anything. Plus she never really helps at all.

It is very difficult to read a textbook in Java. Especially when it is basically another langauge and you do not speak it. The class is best compared to taking German and having to read a book in all German, and the teacher does not help.

Sister Pat is an extremely experienced programmer. If Comp Sci isn't your major (you don't want to be a dev) you will not be able to appreciate her emphasis on understanding code, you will hate it. If it is, you will like it. I knew some basics before MU, but her classes have made me much better. She also cares a lot about her students! A++

class is straight from power point. the quizzes were easy, but the test were INSANELY difficult. the class is much harder than it needs to be. Sr Pat is a nice woman, but in the classroom she is a tough teacher. This class lowered my GPA by .2 points!!!! AGAIN, much harder than this class should be.

Doesn't know anything about what she is teaching. Students frequently call her out during class. Reads right from the textbook. Doesn't make it interesting, and fails to explain anything beyond the textbook examples. She can't even write her own java code, she just reads other peoples. It's not unusual for students in the class to be more skilled

Be prepared to teach yourself Statistics, because she basically has no idea on how to teach it......Yes her tests are easy(open notes and open book) but it does not help when you have NO IDEA on what you're doing on the tests!I highly suggest not taking her becuase she basically is only teaching it because she's certified fot it!
