Although her classes are mainly lecture, she does incorporate videos and participation. I don't see how anyone could think she is condescending. Some students made comments in the class that she corrected with a more logical answer, but only when the student was wrong. She recognized difference in opinions and encouraged students to join in.

Unbearably rude and condescending. No critical independent thought involved, all about her opinions/interpretations. Doesn't respect students, creates an atmosphere where raising your hand is scary. Very enthusiastic and dedicated, but just.... mean. not goof at engaging students.

She assigns a moderate amount of reading, but the class is VERY informative. She is also very charismatic in her lectures/discussions, making the topic extremely interesting, and I often find myself disappointed when class is over! Her teaching has made me consider minoring in Anthropology.

This woman is a bath-plus-hairdryer of nervous energy. She is so critical she intimidates me from contributing in class.I've had badass tough prof's before that I've loved. She is just a snob. Boo. Learning's supposed to be fun, Proffesaurus rex.

Hard grader, interesting lectures. key word here LECTURE. no class participation, i only got to learn 4 of my other classmate's names. full of herself, not personable out of class. hard grader- often expects too much for a beginner course. couldn't imagine her teaching an upper level course.

She is one of the only professors I've had at IC where I got a good grade but also learned a lot. She is very enthusiastic, the class is not too hard but not too easy either.

She seemed like a good professor in the beginning, but then took it personally when the class wasn't motivated to contribute. This was a 300-level, so the students were interested in the subject, just not the professor and her presentation.

I enjoy this class. She does take attendance every day, and gives tons of readings that don't really go together. But you learn about a lot of interesting cultures around the globe, and the reading is not hard at all. Really enthusiastic, discussions.

Stacia Zabusky doesn't approach the topics of Cultural Antrhopology in a coherent manner. Class sizes tend to be too large, and material is too selective to get a broad understanding of the ideas behind the study of cultural anthropology.

Good teacher, very organized with online material. Lectures can drag on, but the readings are interesting if too many. Overall I felt like I learned a lot from this class and that she initiated some good discussions.

Stacia's style is disjointed and difficult to follow. She treats students like grade-schoolers with nightly homework questions and pop quizzes. The material follows no logical order, and the class is mostly uninformed discussion and parroting the reading.
