I've learned a lot in this class and it's not easy as it seems. Be sure to site everything and read the grading criteria. If you follow it, you will get an A. The great thing is that you can schedule a telephone conference to go over your project and his intention is for you to succeed. Highly recommend, lots of peer reviews and discussions.

Stan was a good professor, I found his lectures to be interesting usually. The assignments seem disjointed for the class though. There are weekly quizzes on the reading assignments, in class papers, a group project with several papers and a final presentation, and on top of all that, there is an individual portfolio project. It's just a lot.

We would like to thank Professor Stan Hunter Kranc for mentoring us throughout this study and for allowing us to use two of his lecture classes to conduct our experiments. 10/10 would take this class again, top 5 teacher I've had at Penn State.

Stan Kranc really works hard to make his lectures as interesting and as interactive as possible. He works hard to create great assignments, provide clear instruction, and focus his class towards helping you with your future career. The only thing is there are 4 in class impromptu writings without warning so do come to class or risk for those.

Always giving excuses as to why course flaws are not his fault. He is not very supportive and to be honest I don't care for him at all. He is one of those professors who graduated from the school he now works for. No desire to become anything more in life just a sentry handing out coursework. He needs to take a few ethics/morals classes.

I thought I would be fine because as long as I work towards a class as hard as I have to, I would come out with a good grade. It's totally wrong with this class, you don't a feedback that would get you a grade you want. I spent more time in this class than many other classes and still end up marginally passing. Reconsider this class.

I was not a fan of the 1 point grading system for normal assignments. And if I wanted to use any feedback, he typically wouldn't grade it until the next assignment was turned in anyway. Feedback was also vague. I think I would have felt better if he had been more specific in his expectations.

I am taking his class and even though there is a lot of work from his class, Stan has a work history in the field of writing and gave constructive advices in his lecture. So far, they are quite benefitting.

easy to get a good grade but hard to get an A. Although I asked him multiple times, he never gave enough feedback for what an A paper looks like or he was always super vague. Avoid if you are aiming for an A or else he is fine.

This guy is absolutely terrible. At all costs avoid this "professor." He jokes about how attendance isn't that big of a deal and then gives penalties for missing class. This man thinks he's the messiah of writing and grammar then gives poor grades based on MS Word readability scores. Also never provided enough feedback as to what an A paper entails

Wow, this guy is incredibly smart and really knowledgable about literally every topic. He literally had an in-depth conversation about nuclear reactions with the nuclear engineers in our class. Great stories and humor makes class bearable. The projects are no fun, but what english class is? not an easy, but not a hard, grader.

The class I took was online, so outside of weekly emails and comments on graded assignments there wasn't much interaction between the professor and the class. I went into this class dreading it because I hate writing but he made it bearable. Most of the assignments are direct from the text so it is necessary to have
