O Chemistry isn't easy so don't go into half hearted or your not going to pass with any professor. Dr. K is going to get you thru listen to him do what he ask, study a week ahead of the test. There is a lot of info to know. He will help you if you go to his office before the work is due. You have to follow his rules.

The material in general is very hard, but his tests were pretty much set up the same so you knew what to expect...that was nice. Overall, I didn't have a problem with the class, but it's not for everyone.

WORST CHEMISTRY TEACHER EXTREMELY difficult to please on tests. Totally unwilling to help students 1 on 1. And if you plan on going to Medical School FORGET IT! NONE of the material he covers is on the MCAT's. The reactions and mechanisms are useless and pointless!! Take my advice, DONT TAKE HIM !!!

Nice guy, but doesn't teach very well. He puts reactions on the board once and thats usually the last time you'll see them before one of the three test. If you ask him for help he either says he doesn't know, or everyone is different and learns o-chem their own way.

Terrible teacher. Wil not give any help when in lab. Would rather see a student get seriously hurt then answer a question. He degrades students and has made many cry. Terrible, sarcastic man...horrible teacher.

Ok, I take it back. Yes, Katzman's O-chem class is quite difficult, BUT HE IS THE MAN!!! Gave me an A- for all my hard work and efforts, and I very much appreciate it. Very nice outside of class too. I will always remember him for that.

Quite difficult of a teacher. I'm doing pretty good in his class, but I DO NOT recommend unless you're comfortable memorizing 100 reactions for each exam and like 10 mechanisms. The final? CUMULATIVE!!! So we're talking almost 300 reactions and mech

Makes labs easy and exciting. Willing to answer any questions. He can be a little biased, so make sure that he likes you. Easy A as long as you do your pre-lab, or you'll get kicked out and asked to come back on another day.
