Stephan is an amazing instructor. His lectures aren't boring and he gives you the notes straight forward with no gimmicks. Attendance is not mandatory but you'll be lost if you skip. His tests are quite easy but can easily fail if you do not somewhat study, pretty easily material though and he makes it interesting. He swaps out the final for lowest

Dr. Cairns is a fantastic teacher and is very knowledgeable in his field (biology). Textbook not used much but as long as you go to class, he tells you EXACTLY what will be on the exams. No homework, just 4 exams total.

It was an easy class. There really isn't a point to go to class since everything is in his powerpoints. The only reason to go to class is to see videos & get key concepts for test questions. Besides those test questions everything comes from the powerpoints. You never use your book. He is also very boring. I looked at the clock to pass every class.

This is the most boring class I've ever taken. He seems like a great guy but goes on and on all class. Most test info is in the powerpoints, but I'd recommend still going to class. I got all A's on tests I went to class for and a B when I never went after just studying the PP's. Pretty easy class but a boring gen ed. Can prob get an A without going

I went to class everyday, but there was really no reason because I couldn't concentrate anyways. It's all lecture but you don't need to take notes because THE POWER POINTS ARE ON BLACKBOARD! His test questions come straight from them too. But if you do choose to attend class he'll tell you exactly what you should write in your notes. So easy.

Cairns is so nice & funny! He tells stories that make the boring subject fun. I never opened my book. The class is lecture & PowerPoints, but class is NOT mandatory because he puts it all on Blackboard, including study guides. The tests are all multiple choice & fairly easy if you study. He's probably the nicest teacher I've had so far.

SO EASY! the lectures are very boring you do not need to pay attention he will tell you what to write down for the test. all notes are online but some notes are only given in class. tests are esay and are the only grades given in the class. do not rent the book it is a waste of money. I have never opened it

The lecture can get pretty boring but the class is very easy. If you print out the ppts you dont have to spend the whole class writing everything down. He is VERY helpful if you have extra questions. You can just walk-in during his office hours and he'll go over the reviews before tests with you. Doesn't take attendance.

Reminds me of an old surfer dude. Super easy class. Lectures can get pretty boring but he does put powerpoints on the P drive and hands out review sheets for the tests so you can definitely miss some classes. 4 easy tests make up your grade and a 5 page paper/book report is offered for extra credit. Perfect 2nd science class to take!

Great guy. Very easy class. Don't buy the book - not used at all. Uses powerpoint for lectures and puts them online. Makes study guides for each test and reviews for the test word for word. Study the review and you will do well on te test. Total grade consists of 4 tests. Perfect class to take to fulfill that 2nd science requirement.
