very intelligent professor. Sometimes felt like he was dumbing things DOWN and I felt offended at first but he is good at what he does. And he is SOOOOO SEXY. Half the time I could not even look at him because I would end up smiling...to bad he is 20 years my senior...still sexy though. And intelligent. Highly reccomended.

Stefan's a nice guy. The farthest thing from boring. Very good speaker. Fair grader. Willing to help. Talks about the same thing for a few days. The tests were very fair. Overall take his class if you get the chance.

Stefan is a brilliant speaker. His classes are interesting and a pleasure to go to. If you give him a negative rating, you're a dumbass.

Stefan is an amazing professor--if you get the chance to take a class with him, do it; you will not be disappointed. Yes, he has an ambiguous grading system for his papers but there are at least 4 assigned, and if you can't get it by then, maybe you're doing something wrong. HIGHLY intelligent--made me think extremely hard, blew my mind every class

Wheelock can be a very unfair teacher. He tends to give out Bs for papers whether they are good or not. He only talks about slavery, liberation, and political unjust. THATS it. Those topics are extremely interesting don't get me wrong, but if thats all a professor seems to know it gets quite boring after a while. He needs to broaden his horizons

He is really lazy an unclear about what he expects in papers and in exams. I was doing fine i his class till the exam, which was the most rediculous, stupid thing ever. What he told us to study was NOT on the exam at all. I read the material and attneded every class, and pretty much failed the exam. He wrote the exam last minute. HE IS LAZY!

I read one third of one book in his class and never even bought the other ones and still got a B+...enough said. But he is a good guy and he is entertaining if you actually pay attention.

He's a dynamic, passionate dude and he was awesome about helping me when I went to his office hour...the stuff we read was interesting....but I wish he would have told our classmate that tries to impress with big academic words who talks WAY too much (yeah, one of THOSE) to shut the f*** up. but he basically let the dude co-teach.

i thought he was a nice guy and i think he seemed approachable if you needed help, but he just rambles over the same stuff over and over again till you get the idea that maybe he doesn't know any more than that topic. i know he is an intelligent guy, but i get the idea that he really doesn't know much more than a few select topics.

His class is very well-structured and focussed. He, however, is passionate about Black lit in a way that could be intimidating. Also, he's very picky about the way you write papers and is unclear on how to actually write them. Hope you are a good guesser if you get him!

Very intelligent and competent, but gets distracted a lot. A little unorganized, but loves class discussion. He's anal about writing style and format, but, overall, a good professor.

Stefan is a fantastic guy and really knows his stuff. His lectures are very engaging and thought-provoking. However, I took his critical reading class which was supposed to be a writing course but because he is up for tenure soon, he gave us almost no work, which is horrible and irresponsible. I'm disappointed.
