Very good professor. You will get out of the course what you put into it - sure you don't really have to do the readings but if you're interested in the material he will teach you a lot about it if you're willing to work a little extra. I learned so much from his lectures.

Dr. Steinberg SUCKS! He's a crazy geriatric who grades you on two grades--midterm and final--and I feel like if you were a minority you'd get a good grade no matter what because he's a claifornia tree hugger. What a ****--if you're anything close to a WASP stay the **** away from his classes!

Took this as an elective... thought it sounded interesting... boy was I wrong. He's a nice guy, but he is too lazy to grade anyone and he gives very subjective scores. My entire grade was based on one final paper.

hard to know exactly what he wants on an exam. he seems to favour students from india or pakistan. your grade depends on two things : midterm and finals... yikes !!!
