Absolutely terrible. The most difficult class I have taken, he cannot keep track of his own syllabus, and there is no clear point to his lectures. Waste of time. Never take his class.

Super boring lectures. Nice guy, willing to give extensions and help on assignments if you ask for it. If it's not a very dry lecture it's a class discussion, and he doesn't like when the class agrees. Reading is difficult, mostly political philosophy, and if you don't understand it you won't have a good time in this class.

Unless you are legit into political theory, avoid this class at all costs. The readings were extremely difficult, even if you read it ahead of time. He will talk at you for an hour and 20 minutes straight and sometimes I couldn't understand what he was saying. Tests were very difficult. He will not answer questions about the final outside of class.

I adore this professor. He has a great taste in political literature and the class was incredibly interesting. His lectures are VERY long and can be VERY dry at times but I always left with new information. Reading the book is necessary and there are about 4 papers a semester with no midterm and the final being a research paper. I SUGGEST IT!

Extremely intelligent professor. Best advice is to do what's expected of you (which is clear and is repeated throughout the semester) and you will get the grade you expect, and or earn.

This class should not be taken by anyone that doesn't have intermediate knowledge of political theorists, otherwise the reading is difficult to grasp and there is plenty of it. Rosow is a good teacher but the material is challenging to say the least. I am an A student and got a B- BUT I worked my butt off! Most difficult class I have taken

Great guy. Work load isn't too bad. Very helpful. We had to write a paper on one of the books and i didn't even read it and got a B+. Make sure your final paper is solid or it can ruin your grade though. Very philosophical class and easy to get lost. I'd only recommend it if you're interested in politics and philosophy

Most boring unclear class i have ever taken. If you bring your laptop there isnt a chance you will be able to pay attention the class itself is full of people who actually enjoy reading old theorist so if you are an average college student avoid at all cost!!!

He's a great teacher. Think critically and do the reading, that is why you're in college right, to use your brain? The only way you will do badly in his class is if you do not put the effort in. We're lucky enough to have a professor like Rosow, someone who will challenge your thoughts and maybe make you think about them as well.

He is by far one of the best professors in this college. Although the class is challenging, he will go out of his way to do anything he can to help you. Going to class is the key to passing. All tests are essays.

He is the most brilliant prof in the department. He is a theorist though and generally speaking theory is far more difficult than other poli sci schools. He will take his time and explain what you don't understand. I think a lot of the criticisms are coming from non-majors or the lazy wastes of human matter that don't like to think critically.

His classes are a bit harder than they should be (I took 203 the same semester). He will definitely favor you more if you participate in class discussion (was not a problem in my case). In the end, I would recommend this class if you're serious about majoring in Global Studies or Poli. Sci., otherwise your probably better off w/ someone else.

For the love of god DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Not only is it some of the hardest material EVER, but he is such a tough grader its not funny. He is so intelligent (i will give it to him) that hes a level above his students and therefore grades as if your not on his level, your not a good student
