Comment:

Homework is all online. The textbook isn't necessary, but it comes with access to the online homework. The tests are made up by the math department and are usually pretty difficult so it doesn't matter which professor you take this class with. Prof Fitch was very accessible and made sure everyone understood the material. Great professor overall.

She writes her own tests that a difficult but she comes with her own written notes to class. She expects you to be there and be engaged in class but she is a great teacher!!! I had her for Trig and wish I had her for every math class.

Calc 1 with her was wonderful. Definitely my favorite college math teacher so far. Wish she taught calc 2. She doesn't use a power point, instead writing everything on the board. Thus, it's easy to follow and not too fast to understand. Often times she works harder test problems from the test in class so make sure you take notes. No clicker q's!

Shes Bad with basic algebra and usually gets lost in her own work in lectures. Lectures did not help much with homework. Runnion is the only teacher for Calc 1 that really knows his stuff.

My favorite professor at MS&T by-far. A genuinely kind and caring person, and a fantastic teacher. I struggle with math, but she goes out of her way to make sure her students understand. I managed to get a B, and I left with a very good understanding of the concepts. She makes math tolerable for me.

Prof. Fitch is the best math professor, hands down. She legitimately cares if you are doing well and understanding the material. Has her previous tests online, which makes her current tests much more reasonable and easy to study for.

I had her over the summer, and boy am I glad I chose it over a the fall or spring. There were exactly 6 students, so my experience was on par with private tutoring. Fitch was very kind, helpful, patient, and good at explaining the material. She provided us with textbooks, from which we daily worked problems the last 30 mins of class with her help.

She's a great professor. Very helpful and clear. Knows her stuff, willing to explain stuff anytime and a great person overall. BUT I wouldn't take her for Calc I because her T.A. gives very hard quizzes. Even she acknowledges that...that's saying something. So do not take her because her T.A. is HARD!

Amazing AMAZING professor. So helpful, will explain things to you all day until you understand. Breaks down tough concepts and makes them easy to understand. If you can take a class with her, I strongly suggest you do. One of the best teachers on this campus by-far. Wish she taught everything.

Good lecturer. Seems genuinely interested in student success. Downfall of the course was the Recitation, which because of the recitation instructor was completely useless. Also tests were graded inconsistently page to page, as different graders grade each page.

Steph is awesome. We cover a lot of material in Business Calc. but she can really break it down for you to easily understand. She also works all of the homework problems and posts them online so you can see step by step how to work them, it really does help.

She is an awesome person! She is concerned about her students, not just in class, but outside too. Very helpful. Tests were a little tricky sometimes, but she gives partial credit and if you work hard, you will pass. I got a B and thats say ALOT

Cal 1-3 in a semester so it moves fast. Most of what she covers though is cal 1 & I suggest testing out if you know any cal at all. Class is boring since she explains the same stuff over & over. Plus 2 dy/wk spent on "boardwork" basically, take makers and do your hw on the board. Hw isn't required.
