She is hard, but you definitely learn a lot from her. I recommend her to all Biology majors...just work hard and STUDY...the tests are pretty difficult, but straight from the book.

she seems very interested in the subject matter, but teaches the course as if it were a grad school course. very difficult to keep up with the HUGE amount of work information. also, she seems not to be interested in whether you learn something, only if you complete to perfection the work she assigns

I liked songer outside of class it was in class that she was overbearing. i had so many questions and could never ask them for fear of being embarassed by her during lecture i had to fight fora B in her classshe runs her class like a grad level course when it is not. good luck with her youll need it

Her class is hard but you learn alot. If your going into the medical field this is the teacher to take. She will get u prepared for med school. Her tests are very comprehensive so dont miss lecture or labs

She talks way too fast and way too in depth. She gives a lot of unnecessary information, which only serves to confuse the non-majors and not-so-great-at-natural-sciences students like myself.

She knows what she is teaching but gets a tad too into the subject... This causes her not to want to answer many questions in class at times...Also really needs to use something else besides just teaching from powerpoint...

Dr. Songer is a terrific entry-level bio professor. I had Wise for 101 and I nearly drowned before I got out of there. Songer makes things much simpler for non-majors. Corny sense of humor, but pretty likeable. Tests have not really been that bad either.
