I looked forward to this class every week. I never felt uncomfortable speaking or with the work. I learned in this class and was inspired to learn more. He puts the class in your hands. If you didn't get something out of it.... It's because of what you put into it.

He was a very easy laid back professor. Take him for an easy A and classes are no longer than an hour. You never have homework. All you have to do is answer the 10 questions(chapters) from the book, write a few notes from each chapter, write one essay then a final statement (paragraph). That's it for the whole semester.

Dr. Cabral is amazing. I would take another class with him if I could. He tells it like it is. He doesn't assign a "cooked book" as he calls it. The journal is a great way to learn, and I learned a lot more then I think I would've if I took this class with someone else.

Dr. Cabral knows his stuff. He is humorous and very blunt. He will truthfully tell you what he thinks. He doesn't assign much work but you do have to read many short passages. I would love to take more of his classes!!

He is the best! Very free spirited and funny! The grading is SO easy - Write journals on articles that YOU choose, in class group mid term, a final Well written essay about whatever you want (related to the class or journals). It is IMPOSSIBLE to get anything other than an A. You have to try harder to fail than you do to pass. Truth! take him!

Great teacher. Funny and laid back. Pretty easy A. 2-3 papers all semester and a journal of your personal notes at the end of the semester.(12 pages long) HE Usually lets you out about 20 mins early if everyone understands the topic. Attendance is not too important but the more he sees you and the more you communicate the better! Def. take him!!

I absolutely love him and his teaching style. He's not only hilarious, but caring and by far one of the most intelligent men I've ever met. His class is very self-directed, which I like. You feel like a real, thinking adult in his class, not a working machine. I'd love to have him again for another subject.

I LOVE this teacher. He is the funniest teacher I have ever had. He jokes, teaches, and tells stories that are all worth it. Although he comes off as a funny guy, he is actually quite the intelligent man. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to everything he had to say. Would take him again in a heart beat. EASY A/A+

Mr. Cabral was fun and from the start. Lots of laughs and discussion; a very relaxed class. The videos gave a better idea of the tribes than all the reading could. We had to keep a journal, write a paper, have an in-class discussion and a group presentation. As long as the assignments on the syllabus were completed, you'd get your grade.

he was very entertaining. he talked alot of his time as a hippie which made class interesting. he let us choose to use the text and he showed lots of movies. they only way to fail [as listed in the syllabus] is to confuse sociology with politics.
