Steve is a very outgoing professor. He is really good at making topics that usually arent interesting very interesting. Sometimes he can be a little talkative but he tends to draw you back in by sliding in a couple jokes here and there. He gives clear responses to your questions and isnt afraid to discuss things that you dont u understand.

Nice guy, not too bad. His lectures can get pretty boring, going to every class isn't mandatory just make sure you read the material assigned. His final was extremely easy. His work is easy but he marks tough, so make sure you spend time on assignments and etc... Pretty easy A.

LOVE his choice of readings, A Red Death was amazing and analyzing songs (Public Enemy, Aretha Franklin) really helps understand the terms. His lectures are always entertaining, and encourage participation. The only downside is he's a really tough grader, I've always done well in English class and I struggle to do well on his papers and exams.

Cloutier was an excellent prof. to have for Intro to Lit. He was a great lecturer, sought out class participation, had a great choice in readings. I don't have a bad thing to say. I found he was a pretty tough marker, but maybe that's because I was 24 and out of high school for like seven years when I took this course in my first semester at SMU.

Really nice man. Uses humor in class. Is understanding. Is a clear and concise lecturer. If you do the readings and your assignments you will likely get an A. Use the writing center before handing in assignments to ensure you do well. All of the great literary geniuses of our time have had editors, so should you.

I've always hated English classes, since middle school. As cliche as it sounds, this guy makes it enjoyable. There's no textbook for ENGL1205 other than Orwell's 1984, which isn't too hard to find (he recommends the penguin books version, but you can get whichever version you want). Steve is funny, knowledgeable and helpful. Attendance is mandatory

If you're not very good at english and looking for a decent mark take his intro course. He's a tough marker on papers but he is very forgiving on quizzes and exams. Tells you pretty much exactly what is on the final exam and he's a pretty funny guy too.

Cloutier is a great prof... All of his readings were worth reading and his lectures were interesting and relevant.. Attendance is mandatory and his final exam is 90% material talked about in class so reading alone isn't enough. Highly recommend the Science Fiction class.
