Comment:
stephen has had the biggest impact on me than any teacher/director i've ever worked with. he is a very humorous, personable person. the personal attention he gives, even to those who obviously will never be actors is amazing. his scrutiny of my work helped me improve significantly and a comment of praise from him is extremely rewarding.

Comment:
stephen is a wonderful acting teacher. he has enough experience to deserve respect and admiration without acting like he's a genius. i learn probably 10 valuable acting lessons every day in his class. he spends so much time on each individual, assuming you really want to be an actor, and helping you get there, regardless of your talent great teacher

A very dynamic speaker. Knows a lot about the topic, and if he doesn't know the answer, one of the 4 TA's will. True, there is a fair amount of written work, but that's also good cuz it doesn't put too much weight on one paper. He's cool, go for it.

You'll learn a lot from him, but stay on top of the written work; there's a lot of it. He's a good actor as well as director. Look for him in Silence of the Lambs; he plays Sgt. Pembry, aka the man who gets his face ripped off.
