Prepare to die on the inside, lectures are SO BORING and tests are IMPOSSIBLE. That being said, he must do some big-time scaling on your final grade because I should have failed but got a C+. Definitely a little rude and has a horrible teaching method but clearly loves to teach, weird combination. Don't ask questions or he'll make you feel stupid.

Trying to flip the classroom but he repeats the recorded lectures instead of using class time for practice. I didn't like his style at first but he grows on you. A picky grader sometimes. If you talk to him you realize he really cares and wants to help students succeed - but ONLY if you talk to him.

This professor won't even take your homework or project grade into consideration unless you average a 60 on all 3 exams (which makes up 70% of your grade). The first 2 exams are 15% so if you bomb the final you're screwed. Class averages on exams (after scaling) were usually in the 50s. Not many people continuedpassed this course when I took it.

He gives you ALL the materials you need to do well in his course. You rent the book for $50 to do homework assignments, which are based on effort. He gives chapter notes that are very easy to understand. There are 3 exams and a final which are all significantly scaled. Also a small excel project. Must put your time in, but worth it in the end.

I actually got a lot out of his class. You are forced to do a lot of work on your own, but it pays off. A lot of what I've learned has actually stuck with me, which isnt something I can say about a lot of other classes where you just need to regurgitate bullet points. Just because he doesn't spoonfeed you doesn't means he can't teach!

Prof. Collins is tough but fair. He genuinely cares about students that want to do well. He gives you his notes, pre-records lectures so class time can be used for discussions & records class so students can reference anything that might have been missed. There was homework for every class, small excel projects, several tests and final.

Professor was VERY unhelpful, mean and just overall not a good teacher. He didn't teach anything in class, he makes you watch hour plus long videos outside of class and learn everything from that. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT taking this professor.

Prof. Collins is not an easy professor, with that said, he is a great professor. At first, I thought he was mean and didn't care but I realized he cares a lot and would help in any way he could. He is a hard grader BUT now in Cost Mgmnt I understand it very easily while everyone who didn't have him is struggling a lot. Hard but worth it.

Probably the worst professor I have ever had and will most likely stay that way. He does not know how to teach and expects you to learn everything yourself with minimal "Teaching" as he would call it. Also if you are not a good test taker you need atleast a 75 or higher average on all tests or auto-fail kicks in.

Exams are extremely hard. Barely teaches, uses pre-recorded lectures which is LONG, AWFUL and BORING. Has no patience for questions, rushes through any problems we go over in class. Does not have a sense of knowledge for time, always kept my class late. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH HIM. Waste of money.

He is the most useless teacher I have ever had and be pre-paired to fail. If you don't get above a 75 on all exams he gives you an auto-fail and his tests are harder than Senior level classes. He doesn't grade homework and, expects you to learn all of the material on your own. Do Not Take Him at all costs.

Managerial Accounting. I have 2 words: terrible teacher. As said by other raters, he takes attendance and goes over homework. Last time I checked, that's NOT TEACHING! The class average was a 60 and he made it seem like it was OUR fault. Clearly if everyone fails its NOT our fault. If you have to take this course DO NOT take it with him!

Horrible teacher. Avoid this man at all costs. He's arrogant, rude, and not helpful. He barely teaches and just goes over homework. Expects students to learn 75 to 80 percent of material by themselves. I had to spend an unbelievable amount of time outside of class on his work just to pass his tests. Even advisors say he shouldn't be teaching...

This guy just recycles, an absentee prof. Doesn't participate in online chat. I literally had over 30 min of silence in the chatroom one time. Grades written papers like you are in an English class. Analyzes sentence structure. Waste of time. If I had wanted to learn english I would've paid to learn from an english prof, not an accountant.

Comment:

Absoultely one of the worst professors in the school. Slit your wrists before taking any course with him. He grades however he feels like (final was worth 40%!) and has 0 flexibility on anything. Very old school and is more concerned about you memorizing outdated accounting charts than understanding the concepts behind them. Also loves pop quizzes
