Very unhelpful. I gave him my paper in advance so he can proofread it and thus allow me to make corrections ahead of time. No comments on the paper when he gave it back, but then points out so many errors on the final copy. Whatever you do, don't take a class with him. I really have no idea what it is he does, becauseforonething hedoesn'teventeach.

If you study and do all the reading carefully, you'll do fine. He just doesn't take any **** and expects you to work hard. He tells you whats gonna be on the midterm and final before you take it so you know exactly what to study. His classes are hard, but if you keep up you will learn a lot.

His quizzes were lame and it seemed he was only concerned with minute details. I think he was ignorant of the fact that for many people this was their first experience with studying the bible.He could have been a lot better if he was more student centered

He's the best of the College's Rel. profs. He's clear, intelligent and funny. Classes aren't a breeze but it's not *his* fault God didn't add footnotes to the original bible or make his followers a bit more interesting. Cut back on the ciggies though.

I absolutely loved the class, but Dr. Gordy is a horrible professor. He is one of the hardest graders ever (taking points off for forgetting one word...) and treats his students like dirt. Enjoy the class... do your best to enjoy him...
