Horrible!!! Rambles on, does not engage the students. If you don't agree with something he says don't waste your time bringing it to his attention, I missed a couple classes because of an illness but he did not care threatened to not allow me to write the final, Noticed lots of people dropped the class!! STAY AWAY BORING WORST PROF

I disliked Kenny so much, that I dropped his class. I am used to history profs, (history major) but this is one prof I just could not handle. He is exceedingly unhelpful and rude when asking for help, I found. If you have a different opinion than him.. just drop the class. Rambles (more than the average), and impossible to contact outside of class.

I like him as a prof, however he is not helpful outside of class. He clearly cares about and knows his stuff and his lectures are not too try. However he blatantly refused to help me outside of class at all.

All Kenny does is talk for the entire class, but the course isn't that bad if you pay attention and attend. I think he really likes the subject and if you engage yourself with the text and the lectures, you should do fine.Decent course load with 2 small assignments,a 10page paper, a 3000word take home exam. He marks fairly, gives lots of feedback.

I don't get all the negative reviews... ALL history profs ramble! Lectures and assignments were extremely clear, and he was available in his office for any questions. I didn't use the textbook, just attended class. Who knows, maybe he's been reading this.

Horrible professor. Unorganized, hard to get in touch with, no rubric for marking, boring classes with completely irrelevant information. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES. So not worth any time or effort.

He caused me to lose interest in the subject and relent waking up. Directions for assignments were unclear and he did not give any indication towards the use of a marking rubric. He is not on URCourses, nor does he seem to have a working e-mail address. He picks random words in his phrases to scream. I would not take his class again. Don't do it.

He is a terrible prof! Knows what he is talking about, but impossible to follow! Would never take a class with him again as I have never been so bored in a class before. Nice guy but cant teach one bit. Do not take him.

Prof was very willing to provide help and answer questions outside of class. Class consisted of a critical book review, bibliographical assignment, 3000 work essay, and concluded with a take home final. Fair marker that expects a high level of thought from student's work. Does ramble during lectures however, would take another class from him.

A 2.4 rating for Steve is ridiculous. So he may ramble a bit..WHO CARES? Every teacher does. I have taken 2 classes from Steve and plan to take more. His classes are so easy! Not a single test - just a bibliographical assignment, a 3000 word essay, and a take home essay as the final. Read the textbooks and you'll be fine. Such an average booster!

He is probably a nice guy but as far as giving lectures...he is impossible to follow. He definitely gets off topic and starts rambling in french. At the end of the course I still had no idea what he was talking about half the time. I wouldn't reccommend taking a course from this prof.

Comment:

Although his lectures can put you to sleep some days, Steve is an awesome prof. He will help you out with any problem, and is more than happy to have students come into his office for extra help or just to talk. A fair marker, Steve expects you to work hard, but you will be rewarded for your efforts. Highly recommend!

Though Kenny is very knowledable about the subject matter the way he presents it is not so good. Class seemed to drag on, what we needed to know was not clear and assignments never had to do with class lectures. Textbook was USELESS. I would not take another class from Kenny.

Professor Kenny was awesome! There were no mid-terms and the final was a take-home essay. Very understanding and easy to reach outside of the classroom. I would definitely recommend Professor Kenny.
