Comment:

Mr. Kirsch is an excellent teacher. He answers questions clearly and completely...unless he's already answered a similar one, then it's up to you. Pre Tests were very helpful and most of what was on the test. Extra credit on every test, but hard ones! Very easy to work with on grading. Gives partial credit if you show your work.

I would definately recommend taking this professor for Business Math. He's helpful, easy to follow and fair. You will have 4 tests in this class, each will have extra credit option. His pretests are a LOT like the actual test. I'm selling the book for this class, almost good as new, please contact me at mnats79@hotmail.com if interested.

He would be a better professor if he took other things into consideration for your grade, such as hw or participation, or maybe if he dropped one test score. Who takes the average of your 4 tests subtracts 40 and then divides by 15? Doesn't make sense. His last review sheet was useless as he changed the wording style of the final exam a whole lot.

Instruction was good. to help prepare students for test, key problems from the text was provided and also pretest questions. All the books listed as required were not used : (. I only used the main text and answer book. The CDs were rarely used but was helpful for some of the chapters. Read the text and do the recommended problems.

This teacher is kind of weird i guess. I got 3.8-3.9 in every tests, and i got 3.3 in my GPA!! also, he doesn't really clarify things.

I was apprehensive at first because he's difficult to hear sometimes, but Kirsch manages to make concepts easy to understand for someone as backwards at math as me. Our class meets for 3 hours twice a week, but he manages to keep me engaged. I think I lucked out in getting Prof. Kirsch. Only negative is he can be impatient with repeat questions.

Good teacher- simple grading structure so you easily know what your grade is. Does read from the book a lot. Always available an hour before (and I think after) class for extra help. Straightforward/pretty easy tests. Has a day job himself so is sympathetic to people with super busy schedules.

BEST INSTRUCTOR EVER!I've taken MAT109,116,120 from him.He's responsible to his students n the passion in teaching!He came back for teaching after a major surgery which required him to rest but he didnt take the time to rest,he came back for his students!HE MADE STATISTICS n MATH EASY n FUN for everyone!You should take his class!

He teaches evening classes, and just like most of the rest of us, he has a day job too; he understands the difficulty of having a full plate. Because of this, he keeps the teaching as simple and clear as possible. Homework is recommended, not required, but necessary in order to prepare for tests. Highly recommended teacher.

Steve is the best teacher I had so far. His way of teaching makes you want to go to class every time. He explain everything clear, has plenty of examples during class and if you attend and do your homework, the tests are easy. Before each test he does a review of the material which is extremely helpful.

He teaches statistics in a very straightforward and easy to understand way. The class may be a little slow for advanced students and aspiring engineers/scientists/mathematicians, but it's a great introduction to basic statistics for most majors.

Great instructor - flexible with group learning ability and adjust curriculim accordingly. Exam reviews are invaluable - go to class! Very funny guy, who wants you to succeed; have fun and study. Teaching is his passion and his second job. Tests - no trick questions, short, and pertinent. Not exactly easy, but not beyond the scope of studies.
