I honestly hate this class. As an introvert he keeps making me feel extremly uncomfortable in class when he calls me out for little things. I used to think I was an okay writer but after taking his class I do not feel confident in my abilities. If you want a class that lowers your self-esteem Mead is the way to go.

It's beyond ridiculous that "easiness" factors into the final score, as though a difficult teacher is a bad one. Mead doesn't baby. He expects you to work hard. He has high standards. That isn't a bad thing. The fact that he scores low on here is more a testament to how lazy students have become, rather than his teaching. I respect the man a lot.

Stephen was my favorite prof at St. Martin's. Tough, intelligent, humorous, awesome. I learned more from him than I ever thought possible and yet, he pissed me off more than any other professor! I highly recommend any course he teaches. But be prepared to work.

To all those saying he is hard, get out of college, it's not easy unless your a slacker and taking nothing but joke classes. Jeez lets murder the guy for trying to teach his students something. I hate english, I have a mental block when it comes to that and I want to get passed that. I think he is the prof to do that.
