Very knowledgeable and uses inflammatory ideas to get your attention. He was my advisor in the MSSc program at Maxwell and has always been a beacon for me when I read history and separate truth and fiction. His knowledge of early Anglo-American colonial hostory is unsurpassed. Caution: his books are not for popular history lovers.

I had Dr. Webb in the Maxwell Social Science program. He gave a meticulous, descriptive overview of the subject matter - I absolutely loved his lectures. He is an excellent professor!!!! His standards of writing are high & wants students to produce good quality, scholarly work! His intentions are great & in students' best interest.

Challenging professor with traditional teaching methods. Sets the bar high but fair. Extremely knowledgable and intelligent; brings alive Anglo-American history including Iroquois. As my advisor, he is a proud part of my experience in the Master's of Social Science program. Thank you Dr. Webb!

I studied under Professor Webb at Syracuse in the 90's, he was and probably is still a tremendous lecturer. His descriptive manner and thorough understanding of Iroquois history made one feel as if he or she were there. I concur with an earlier posting . . . the man's knowledge is legendary. The campus is a lesser place without him.

I just found this web site. I suspect the good comments about Webb, were probably written by Webb himself. This guy is a joke! If it weren't for tenure, he'd be on the streets. A waste of $ taking any class he teaches!

Professor Webb is one of the kindest and nicest professors at SU! He is an old school grader, with a slightly dry presentation, but if you can get pass this, I suggest that a course taught by him will be the best use of your time. His knowledge is legend!
